Paperback Writer. "Paperback Writer" is the Beatles' song, written by Lennon/McCartney. The Sweet recorded it in 1971, and performed it on the BBC show in the same year.
Teenage Rampage. A faux live recording, the flip side of "Ballroom Blitz". Again, banned by the Kiwis, because its title "Promoted Riotous Behaviour". I kid you not.
She thinks she's the passionate one. Covered by Tia Carrera on the "Wayne's World" Soundtrack.
Wink. Recorded in Munich in 1976, This LP featured the hit "Action", (covered by Def Leppard on "Adrenilize"), and had a heavier metallic sound, that stretched well beyond the bands teenybop beginning.
Brian. Brian Connolly with Mick Tucker formed "The Sweetshop", from the remains of "Wainrights Gentlemen", (who had also spawned Ian Gilliam and Roger Glover, who went on to form Deep Purple)
Fox on the Run. David Bowie has done this song in concert, and it was rumoured that he wrote the song.
Desolation Boulevard. Trying to shake the "Monkees" image as an artificial band, this was the 1st LP to be written and recorded by all four band members.
go home. Was initially banned in New Zealand, I wonder what "Little Willy" could be mistaken as. (not the only "Sweet" banning in NZ, either).
Chapman/Chinn. Producer Phil Wainman introduced M. Chapman and N. Chinn as sole songwriters in 1970 after the groups first four singles failed to chart.
Steve, Andy, Mick. Missing is Brian Connolly, He was the Lead Singer.
