Before Trivium, he was in a band called Metal Militia, but left the band because he felt so strongly about wanting to join Trivium. Impressed by his commitment, the band took him as their permanent bassist.

Anthem (We are the fire). Trivium have had two confirmed past members, Brent Young, who played bass for the band from 2001-2004, and Brad Lewter who was the band's original vocalist until 2000.
