Jack asked what it was called, and the producer said it was called a ball and biscuit microphone. Jack then added the lines into the song and made "Ball and Biscuit" the title.
Astro. Jack said he named the song "Astro" after one of his dogs, and put in the line "Maybe Jasper does the Astro" because Jasper was the name of his other dog.
Hotel Yorba. Every single released before "Hotel Yorba" was only on 7-inch vinyl records. After releasing their first two albums on vinyl and cd, the White Stripes released the single "Hotel Yorba" the same way.
