When asked about "You've Got Her in Your Pocket," Jack said, "It's the first White Stripes song that only has one of us on it - ever."

Candy Cane Children. "Candy Cane Children" was re-released for Christmas 2002, including Jack reading the story of the magi and Meg singing "Silent Night."
Hotel Yorba. Every single released before "Hotel Yorba" was only on 7-inch vinyl records. After releasing their first two albums on vinyl and cd, the White Stripes released the single "Hotel Yorba" the same way.
Astro. Jack said he named the song "Astro" after one of his dogs, and put in the line "Maybe Jasper does the Astro" because Jasper was the name of his other dog.
from a type of microphone that hangs from the celing. "Ball and Biscuit" was written entirely in the studio, and there was a microphone hanging from the celing. Jack asked what it was called, and the producer said it was called a ball and biscuit microphone. Jack then added the lines into the song and made "Ball and Biscuit" the title.
