Washington. George Washington was the first president of the U.S. and his face graces dollar bills. Washington Irving's face is not on any currency, but he wrote 'The Legend of Sleepy Hollow' and 'Rip Van Winkle'.
Henry. Patrick Henry was a leading figure in the American Revolution. A very able orator, perhaps his most memorable speech included the immortal words, 'Give me liberty, or give me death'. Henry Kissinger was Secretary of State under Richard Nixon and Gerald Ford.
Jackson. Reggie Jackson's nickname was Mr. October due to the amount of home runs he hit in World Series games. Jackson Browne, WAS born in October but he never made a World Series appearance.
