Cardiovascular System
cardiology. The physicians who treat problems of the cardiovascular systen include the cardiologist, the interventional cardiologist, and the cardiac surgeon. The vessels are treated by vascular surgeons, also called cardiovascular surgeons.
Pericardium. The pericardium is a fibrous tissue that is layered into a parietal pericardium (an outer layer lining the pericardium), and a visceral pericardium (an inner layer covering the heart).

Children and seniors. A heart murmur is an abnormal heart sound that represents turbulent blood flow within the heart.
