Nereo Rocco. Nereo Rocco was the succesful Milan coach. Cesare Maldini, a defender, was AC Milan's captain at that time, who became AC Milan coach later. Giovanni Trapattoni was also an AC Milan player at that time, and also became coach later. Mario Zagallo was a Brazilian national success coach, but he never coached AC Milan. Nereo Rocco brought AC Milan joy by winning the European Champions Cup in 1963 at Wembley (now the UEFA Champions League). He was signed to fire AC Milan's attack, but he failed and was later sold to Atletico Madrid. Manuel Rui Costa was Fiorentina's captain, where he won a trophy, the Coppa Italia, together with Francesco Toldo, Enrico Chiesa and Roberto Mancini (as a coach). But because of the club's dire financial situation, he and Toldo were sold, which gave Fiorentina enough to discharge their debts. Martin Laursen was bought from Parma.
