Minnesota Twins. The National League won over the American League 6-1 at Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome on July 16th. Lamarr Hoyt, of the San Diego Padres, was named the Most Valuble Player.
Baltimore Orioles. The American League won over the National League 9-3 at Oriole Park at Camden Yards on July 13th. Kirby Puckett, of the Minnesota Twins, was named the Most Valuble Player.
Pete Rose. Rose played 5 positions including 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base, right field, and left field.
Cal Ripken Jr.. Ripken achieved this feat in the 1991 and the 2001 All-Star Game. He was the only A.L. player to do so, but there were three others who have done it for the N.L. (Mays, Garvey, Carter).
