Arkansas Razorbacks
Weber State. Weber State was the make-up game for the North Texas game being cancelled. Arkansas won handily.
Wide Reciever. Matt Jones made his debut at Arkansas as a Wide Reciever. He soon became the option Quarterback for Arkansas.
Cedric Cobbs. After a Matt Jones run, Cedric Cobbs scored to put Arkansas in the lead for good.
Fred Talley. Matt Jones rushed for his 100 yards on options and old-fashioned gutsy play making. Cedric Cobbs played like the Cobbs of old and found the end zone on multiple times. Mark Pierce produced points and yards from the full back position. Fred Talley didn't reach that mark in this game.

David Barrett. Barrett had several key interceptions in his career at Arkansas. Hale and McDougle were important in the South Carolina game three weeks later.
Michael Snowden. Alabama just forgot to cover Michael Snowden on both of these passes. Davenport caught the second TD pass, Loudermilk would be a key element the next week against Kentucky, and Stinson would be important the following week against Memphis.

An electrical failure that caused half of the lights to go out. Coach Nutt joked that the game should be moved down the street to Quigley Stadium, which is where he played high school football and won a state championship as a senior QB. Arkansas eventually won this game 44-17.
