Blackburn Rovers
1875. The club were also founder members of the football league, and finished fourth in the inaugural season of 1888-89.
Oozehead Ground. Between 1875-90, Blackburn played on all of these grounds, before moving to Ewood Park. Only Pleasington Ground remains but as numerous pitches.
1912. Rovers won the title twice in the 20th century, in seasons 1911-12, and 1913-14.
Tom Mitchell. Tom Mitchell managed the club between 1884-86.

They first won the cup in 1884 with a 2-1 victory over Queens Park, followed by 2-0 a year later against the same team, and for a third time in a row by beating West Bromwich Albion 2-0, after a replay in 1886. In 1890, they beat Sheffield Wednesday 6-1 in the final, followed by a 3-1 win against Notts County in 1891. They only won the cup once in the 20th century, by beating Huddersfield Town 2-1 in 1928.
Jack Walker. Walker was a former steel mill owner in the town, and lifelong fan of the club, who sold his business for a large sum of money, and ploughed millions into the rebuilding of Ewood Park and the club. 'Uncle Jack' as he was affectionately known by the fans, died in 2000, and the club had a statue of him erected outside the ground.
1994-95. Although Blackburn lost to Liverpool 2-1 at Anfield on the final day of the season, Manchester United couldn't beat West Ham United at Upton Park, which gave Blackburn the title.
Manchester United. May 12, 1999, was the date that all Blackburn fans would rather forget, as they played out a 0-0 draw with United, and were relegated into Division One. Two years later, they were back in the Premiership, finishing second in the 1st division, promoted alongside champions Fulham, and play-off winners, Bolton Wanderers.

Genclerbirligi. Graeme Souness went back to Turkey for their UEFA Cup tie with Genclerbirligi, but it wasn't a happy for him because Blackburn lost 3-1. The 2nd leg ended 1-1 at Ewood Park. Souness had managed Galatasaray, the biggest Turkish club, in the mid-1990s
