10. In all that time, only ten men have won the title and carried home the coveted Sandow Trophy. This is due to multiple repeat winners and dynasties in the sport of bodybuilding. The winners have been Larry Scott (1965-67), Sergio Oliva(1968,'69), Arnold Schwarzenegger(1970-75,1980), Franco Columbu(1976,1981), Frank Zane(1977-79), Chris Dickerson(1982), Samir Bannout(1983), Lee Haney(1984-91), Dorian Yates(1992-1997)and Ronnie Coleman(1998-2005).
1970. Arnold won his first Sandow trophy on his second appearance on the Olympia stage. He defeated Sergio Oliva.
Chris Dickerson. Dickerson was 43 years old when he won the Sandow in 1982. To this day, he maintains an incredible physique and is an accomplished opera singer.
Sydney. The movie 'Pumping Iron' was filmed during the training for this contest. Arnold Schwarzenegger carried home the Sandow after this competition.

Delayed Onset Muscle Soreness (DOMS). It is delayed, because the pain usually does not start to occur until approximately 24 hours after the intense workout. It may last for up to 6 or 7 days.
