Mark Martin . Martin tried with all his might to get by Benson on the last lap. However with worn tires and Benson's determination, it was enough to hold off Martin to take the win.
Allegedly jumped a restart. There was some confusion by drivers, whether Stewart jumped the final restart. Nascar later determined nothing was illegal about the restart.
Bristol, Day. Busch held off a determined Jimmy Spencer, to win the day race at Bristol.
Bill Elliott . Elliott passed Rusty Wallace, and eventually cruised to his second win in as many weeks.
