 United in the 1990s
Bryan Robson. Bryan Robson got the second goal in a 2-0 win away to Wimbledon in the final game at Selhurst Park.
Budapest. United returned to the European cup with a 3-0 win away to Honved in 1993.
Eric Cantona. Eric Cantona scored from a Phil Neville cross in the 53rd minute in United's vital game against the Geordies.
Mario Basler. Mario Basler scored in the sixth minute in the Nou Camp before United's famous injury time recovery.
Nottingham Forest. Brian McClair scored the winner in a 1-0 win against Forest for United's only win in this competition.
Stamford Bridge. His first team debut came in a friendly match (testimonial) to celebrate the 50th birthday of Benfica legend Eusebio, against Benfica in Lisbon on 1st December, 1992. He made his league debut as a substitute in a 2-1 victory over Manchester City on 6th December 1992. His first goal in United's colours came in a 1-1 draw at Chelsea on 19th December. It is generally agreed that the arrival of Cantona galvanised United's squad into championship form to bring the club it's first Championship in 26 years. Cantona had now also become the first player to win consecutive English League Championship medals with different clubs (he won a medal with Leeds United in the previous season 1991-92).
South Africa. Ian Wright scored two penalties against Manchester United in a pre-season friendly a week before the 1993 Charity Shield.
Ryan Giggs. Ryan Giggs scored the first goal in a 2-0 win against Norwich City at Carrow Road.
26th May. This is one of the most memorable moments in the history on Man Utd. They were still 0-1 down when the 90 minutes were up, but won 2-1 without going into extra time. Both goals were scored in injury time!
Jaap Stam. Jaap Stam joined Man Utd from PSV Eindhoven straight after the 1998 World Cup.
Borussia Dortmund. This was Man Utd's best European run under Alex Ferguson although it ended at the hands of Borussia Dortmund.
Eric Cantona. 1996 brought Man Utd a second Double winning season in three years.
Blackburn Rovers. The championship boiled down to the last game when Blackburn suffered a defeat by Liverpool, Man Utd needed to win against West Ham United but could only get a draw, so the title went to Ewood Park.
Sir Matt Busby died. Sir Matt Busby was the one credited for spawning the Famous "Busby Babes" and of course he introduced us all to a player called George Best.
Leeds United. With the signing of probably the best Man Utd player in 30 years, Eric Cantona helped Man Utd win their first League Championship in 26 years.
Nottingham Forest. This game was decided by the one goal from Brian McClair.
2-1 Man Utd. On this glorious night, Mark Hughes scored the two goals for Man Utd, only for Ronald Koeman to get a consolation goal for Barcelona.
Les Sealey. Les Sealey only had two previous appearences for Man Utd during the season, and was drafted in for the dropped Jim Leighton.
