Amazing Race 5
Dennis/Erika. Even though Chip/Kim and Kami/Karli had to go back to pick up a clue that they had missed, they managed to stay in the race. Dennis and Erika lost because they took a long time to find a cab.
A trip to Hawaii. Alison was a runner up on CBS's reality show "Big Brother 4". They won a trip to Hawaii courtesy the American Airlines website.
Uruguay. Casa del Pueblo at Punta Ballena, Uruguay was the pit stop for the first leg. Chip and Kim arrived first but had to go back to collect a clue they had missed.
None of these. There was no Fast Forward in this leg. Instead there was 'The Yield' where a team can force another team to stop for a period of time. However each team can use it just once during the race.
Chips or Zips. Kami/Karli, Chip/Kim, Charla/Mirna and Marshall/Lance opted for Chips which involved playing a game of roulette. The rest of the teams had to take a zip line to the pool from a height of 18 floors.

Jim. Jim tripped and fell at the beginning of the race. He almost missed his flight while he had his knee treated. He is an ex-military man running the race with his daughter, Marsha.

1. Marshall and Lance are brothers from Dallas, Texas. For the first time, there is just one all male team on "The Amazing Race".
Colin and Christie. In one of the most shocking events ever in the race, teams had to shave their head bald if they wanted to claim the fast forward, which of course, nobody went for it.
Kami and Karli. The new twist of the game was that if one finished last at a non-elimination leg, that team would have to be stripped of all their cash and not receive any amount of money for the next leg.
Nobody used the yield. The rivalry between Charla and Mirna and Colin and Christie got really heated up and at one point of the race, Christie even blocked the airport gates to prevent Charla and Mirna from entering.
Marshall and Lance. Marshall and Lance was the first team ever to quit midway through the race.
Colin and Christie. This fast forward was one of only two fast forwards found in the entire race, a change from the earlier seasons when there was a fast forward in every leg.
Caviar. Teams made their way to St. Petersburg, Russia, where Internet dating couple Bob and Joyce were eliminated.
Chocolate with a white center. There were only 20 of chocolates with white centers out of 11,000 chocolates!
Brandon and Nicole. Teams were told to go to Buenos Aires, Argentina for this leg of the race.
25. Jim needed to go to a nearby emergency medical clinic and managed to make his flight by a mere 3 minutes.
Eight. There were eleven teams to begin the race, and three were eliminated leaving eight teams. The pit stop was in Bahia Lopez fourteen miles from San Carlos de Bariloche.

Nine. All of the nine teams paraglided to their clue rather than choose the other Detour option called "Rough Riding" where teams biked to their clue.

Yes. In this "Road Block" the member chosen had to find a white-centred chocolate within the tables of almost eleven thousand chocolate. There were only twenty chocolate with white centers.

Argentina. The teams remain in Argentina for the second consectutive leg of the race. San Carlos de Bariloche is a picturesque village at the base of the Andes Mountains.

Tango. In "Tango", teams needed to match a photo with a tango dancer in a Buenos Aires theatre. In "Perro", teams needed to bring dogs on a marked trail to a statue called "La Flor".

Buenos Aires. The teams receive a clue to go to a graveyard in Buenos Aires and find the grave of Evita Peron to find their next clue.
Dennis and Erika. After choosing to let other teams ahead of them, Dennis and Erika were eliminated at the first pit stop of this installment of "The Amazing Race" in Casa del Pueblo.

Scarab. Most teams had trouble finding the scarab as many didn't know what it was. Colin and Christie came in first on this leg of the race, and Marshall and Lance were eliminated.
Brandon and Nicole. In "Herd it" teams had to load ten sheep onto a boat, and get them across a river. In "Haul it", teams had to haul water by donkey from the river to a house. Colin and Christie also did the "Haul it" task.

Seven. By using the fast forward in the previous leg, Colin and Christie had a major seven hour lead over the other teams. The lead was sliced down to forty minutes when they arrived at the Creation Room in the Great Pyramids.
Linda and Karen. Linda and Karen avoided elimination, but had to give all of their money to Phil, and would not get any money starting the next leg of the race.
Kami and Karli. Although Kami and Karli arrived at the clue last, they passed Linda and Karen on the drive to Giza Plateau.
