 American Idol: Season 5
No. Elliott revealed while he was in the Top 24 that he never rehearses before a show. He just goes out on stage and wings it, and he always does great.
Ace. Ace is a very good looking contestant with a great voice. He's had some off weeks, but all-in-all, he's fantastic. He really proved himself during 'Songs of the '50s'.
Bucky. Bucky's brother was able to come up on stage during the Top 12 show after Bucky sang while Ryan was telling everyone his number. They look exactly alike.
Mandisa. Mandisa proved that her voice is bigger than she is. She sounds like a professional singer already.
'I Walk the Line'. Chris is very good at doing rock music and usually adds his own originality to songs.
Stevie Wonder hits. The Stevie Wonder week proved to be a very tough one, as Stevie is possibly one of the best and most legendary singers in the world. The second week they did songs from the '50s.
Kellie Pickler. Kellie's the 19-year-old contestant from North Carolina. She's hilarious, and was called a 'minx' by Simon.
Taylor . Taylor's such an energetic contestant. He's from the same area in Alabama that Bo Bice was from, but they are nothing alike. Taylor sings soul, while Bo sings rock.
Kevin . Paris Bennett dubbed sweet little 16-year-old Kevin 'Chicken Little.' He shows how not-so-innocent he is when he comes back at Simon for giving him a harsh comment.
Kellie Pickler . Kellie Pickler is from Albemarle, North Carolina. She auditioned with Kelly Clarkson's "Since You've Been Gone", and became known (and speculated about) for her naivety.
Bucky Covington. Covington has a twin brother named Rocky. One week during the semifinals, Ryan Seacrest asked Rocky to come to the stage, just to show how much the two resembled each other. They even had the same hair style!

Lisa Tucker. Lisa Tucker just made the cut-off for "American Idol's" summer tour. Only the top 10 contestants get to participate in this tour each year.
Elliott Yamin. Elliot is a good natured person, despite having to deal with diabetes and 90% hearing loss in one of his ears. In the first week of the semifinals, Simon told Elliot that he may have had the best male voice ever to be heard on "Idol".
Taylor Hicks. Taylor Hicks is from Birmingham, Alabama. He gained quite a fanbase early on, and he refers to them as the "Soul Patrol".
Mandisa. Mandisa sang "Wanna Praise You" by Mary Mary. She is the only contestant who goes by her first name only.
Kevin Covais. During the semifinals, 16 year old Kevin was shown in a split screen with a picture of Chicken Little to point out their resemblance. From then on, Ryan Seacrest referred to him as Chicken Little.
Chris Daughtry. Chris is a strong performer, who became known for his preference of rock songs. His version of "I Walk the Line" was one that his favorite band, Live, had covered for one of their albums.
Katharine McPhee. In her excitement, Katharine went around and pecked Simon, Paula, and Randy on the lips. She became an early favorite of the judges.
Melissa McGhee. Melissa McGhee took the last female seat in the top 12 just a week before being the first to leave the competition. She sang Stevie Wonder's "Lately", and got a few of the words wrong. This is thought to be the main reason she didn't get enough votes to stay in the competition.
Ryan Seacrest. Ryan Seacrest also is a host on ENews.
Ace Young. Ace has a lot of brothers.
Diabetes. Elliot is also deaf in one ear!
Denver. Denver is in Colorado.
