whether she was going to teach again. Barb hadn't been anywhere since the Mother of the Year ceremony fiasco, but had to take Teeny to register for summer school. Julie, a fellow teacher, told Barb she was sorry about what happened at the ceremony and that they had been rooting for her. She then asked if Barb was planning on getting back on the teaching roster soon. Surprised, Barb said she hoped to, but from Julie's response she realized they weren't going to let her come back.
Joey's boss in Phoenix. Bill, Lois and Joey were discussing Alby's condition, and the upcoming questioning of Wanda. After Lois mentioned that Wanda was looney, Bill asked Joey how many times Wanda had tried to poison someone. Joey said Wanda went after his boss at the bowling alley in Phoenix after he fired Joey. Joey said with vitamins and exercise Wanda got better after he brought her home.

Sarah's friend Heather. The family were all in Barb's house when Barb brought up the fact that the school didn't want her to teach anymore. Barb said that it could have been anyone who exposed them. She mentioned Wendy, the neighbors (Pam and Carl Martin) and Nicki's father, while Nicki mentioned it could have been Barb's sister.
a gun. When Adaleen was visiting Nicki, the two of them discussed who poisoned Alby. Adaleen said that Alby thought his poisoning was a conspiracy involving Nicki's husband's brother. But she herself thought that it could have been one of her sister wives, and that they thought it was her. Nicki told her mother that she was very close to becoming first wife and she has had no time to prepare. She then told Adaleen that Wendy was responsible for exposing the family and hinted that someone should do something. Adaleen gave Nicki the gun and told her that her father sent it to her, for her protection.

sitting in the car in the Home Plus lot. They were parked directly across the drive from Bill. Nicki wanted Bill to either go get Barb and bring her home, or make a clean break with Barb and make her first wife. Wayne called out "hey Dad" to Bill who nervously waved at him. While Margene and Nicki were talking to Bill, Wayne got out of the car and started over to Bill, but Margene caught him and brought him back.
Don was listening to her phone calls.. Don had already gone through Wendy's desk and found the dossier she had started on Bill and his wives. He also gave Bill a list of her emails and internet visits. Bill told Don to tap Wendy's phone, but while Don was listening to Wendy talk about her cat's health, he said "Oh God" out loud, and Wendy heard him. She accused Bill and Don of harassing her, and said she might get a lawyer. Bill told her he would fight anyone to protect Home Plus' reputation. Later when Wendy left work, someone in a dark Hummer caused her to wreck her car.
They had never had a polygamist at their meetings.. Sarah gave her name as Lori, and after explaining about her parents, said she wanted out of their lifestyle. No one said anything after she finished talking, so she started walking out. When a guy named Scott stopped her, she told him she felt like a freak. He said they didn't know how to support her because they'd never had a polygamist before. She sarcastically said she should go, her moms didn't know she was there. Scott gave her his phone number and said he'd try to find someone who could help her.
Barb. When Bill was at Don's house for his prayer group, he spoke to Barb, who explained her doubts about whether what she did for Bill (agreeing to a plural marriage) was the right decision. Bill went to the Martins alone, but was pleasantly surprised when Barb showed up. Barb lied to the Martins about why she had to drop out at the Mother of the Year ceremony, and explained that Margene broke up with them because she was pregnant and didn't want them judging her. Pam and Carl admitted they were nervous about the dinner because they thought the Henricksons didn't like them. Bill later apologized to Barb and admitted that he took advantage of her love for him when he asked her to live the Principle with him, because he knew she would do it. Barb decided to come back home.
tell the truth. Bill told Lois that Roman had agreed to make the investigation go away rather than have the state investigate. Lois said that was great, but if anyone questioned her she was going to tell the truth. She said she "had too much to live for to get caught up in a rinky-dink cover up".
Wendy. Bill was driving in to work with Ben when he saw what had been done to one of the new billboards. Underneath 'Home Plus is us', someone had added '+ us + us + us'. Peg pointed out to Don and Bill how coincidental it was that Wendy didn't come to work that day, the day the billboard was defaced. Bill agreed that Wendy could be behind it, but that someone could have overheard Wendy talking about Bill and his wives.
Roman. Joey was walking home from the store when Alby and his henchman forced him into their Hummer and took him to Roman's office. Adaleen made a tape of Joey and Bill's conversation (which included Bill saying what charges he could face if anyone found out what they had done) which she filed away. Roman reminded Joey that his vote was needed at the next day's meeting.
Nicki didn't make a deposit.. Barb was at the University of Utah for her first day of classes when she called Nicki to tell her the check had bounced. Nicki, already upset that Barb and Bill had forgotten her anniversary, wasn't very concerned that she hadn't deposited the money that Barb had given her. Barb wanted Nicki to make the deposit that day, and asked Nicki if she still had the money. Nicki lied and said yes, but then asked to borrow $100 from Margene.
He told Bill that Brynn knew about the family.. While driving in to work that morning, Ben told Bill that he wanted Brynn to meet the family, and that he meant everybody. When Bill started to question him, Ben assured him Brynn knew and said that she had figured it out. Brynn later came by Home Plus to see Ben, where Ben told her that he and his family were polygamists. Later on, Ben brought Brynn to the house where she met Barb, who was surprised to learn that Brynn was a bit older than Ben.
"You met him.". A hysterical Wanda called Nicki for help, saying she and Joey were being watched and couldn't leave because their car was broken. Nicki finally said she would be there in a couple of hours to help them. She reluctantly agreed to take an eager Margene along, but before she went to get ready, Margene asked, "Did Wanda really poison your brother?". Nicki said she thought so and Margene asked, "Why?". Nicki then gave her answer, indicating her feelings for her brother.
Wendy came by Barb's house to tell her that she wasn't the one who exposed the family at the Beehive Mother of the Year ceremony. Wendy also mentioned that someone had been following her. What did Wendy say that made Barb realize who was following her? | "Big Love" - "The Writing on the Wall"

A Hummer was following her.. Wendy wanted to tell Barb that she wasn't the one who outed the family, because Bill wouldn't believe her when she told him. She then told Barb that Bill had had her followed. When Barb told Wendy that Bill wouldn't do that, Wendy suggested it could be Don or Peg, and mentioned that every time she left her house a Hummer followed her. Barb realized that Nicki was behind it and later told her that she couldn't do that.
Joey, who confessed to poisoning Alby. Joey answered the door to the police, who said they wanted to speak to his wife again. Joey said she wasn't there, and she wasn't the one they wanted. The police arrested Joey after he said he was the one who poisoned Alby.
Ben's birthday card from Barb's sister. After discussing Ben sleeping on Margene's couch, Barb changed the subject and suggested Ben open his birthday cards from her sister and Lois. He said he was waiting for his birthday to open them. Later, Barb steamed open the card from her sister Cindy and read it. She told her book club friends that her sister had written that it wasn't Ben's fault what had happened to his mother and family. Barb thought her sister might have been the one to expose the family at the Mother of the Year ceremony, but hadn't been able to ask about it because Cindy wouldn't return her phone calls.
laundromat. While at the compound, Bill went to visit his mother and found his Uncle Eddie there. Eddie had helped Lois get a small business loan to buy a laundromat, but Lois hadn't bothered to tell Bill about it. Bill was a bit put off that Lois hadn't let him know what she was doing.
having sex with Brynn. Brynn was spending the evening at Ben's house playing games with the family. When she said she had to go, Ben said he was going to walk her out. A short while later, Sarah was taking a basket of laundry over to Margene's when she saw Brynn and Ben on the sofa. Rushing back to her house, Sarah encountered Barb who thought that Margene was keeping Ben up late again. Sarah quickly said she would go and get Ben.

use the 'it's difficult being third wife' line. Barb had found Ben sleeping on Margene's couch, and then was embarrassed by Margene cavorting with Ben in the pool while Barb had her friends over. When she found Margene measuring a shirtless Ben's waist for a sweater she was going to make for Bill, Barb had enough and told Margene they were going shopping. Margene called Bill who said he couldn't intercede, but he put Nicki on the phone. Nicki asked what Margene did but Margene thought Barb was blaming her for Ben getting a C in Spanish. Nicki told her that wasn't a serious enough offence to warrant a shopping trip, which Nicki told Margene were horrible. Nicki told her to use the line because Barb hated it. Margene confronted Barb, who finally told her that she thought Margene's relationship with Ben was inappropriate. Margene was hurt and angry by Barb's accusation, and threw the stenciling paint and supplies into the back yard.
Roman told Alby to tell the state police that he had taken the antifreeze himself, and that no one else was involved. What did Alby do? | "Big Love" - "Reunion"

told the police that Roman and Bill were involved in covering up the poisoning. At the picnic, Bill told Roman that as soon as the charges against Joey were dropped, he would give Roman his vote. Roman told Alby to go to the police and withdraw his charges, but Alby said he wouldn't do it, earning him a slap from Adaleen. Roman later showed up at Alby's house and once again told him what he needed to do. The next day, Alby told Nicki what he had actually told the police, and warned her that the state police were on their way.
that Roman was the one who exposed Barb at the ceremony. Alby told Nicki that when Rhonda returned from their homes, she had told Roman about Barb's ceremony. Roman had then made the call which exposed the family and caused Barb to be dropped as a Mother of the Year finalist. Nicki went to her father and asked him if he had really done this, but he told her not to spread false rumors. Nicki went back to their room and began packing, telling Bill that the state police were on their way, but omitting the information about who outed the family.
Rhonda. After Adaleen called to let her know that Rhonda hadn't wanted to return to the compound, Rhonda's mother returned from Mexico to make sure that Rhonda pledged herself to Roman. She reminded Rhonda what an honor it was to be sealed to the prophet, and Rhonda later spoke with Roman. At the picnic, Rhonda exchanged looks with a young man, but went and sat by Roman at her mother's urging. The next day as the family was preparing for a photo, Bill and Nicki left in a hurry after Alby let Nicki know the state police were on their way. After arriving back at Bill's houses, a hidden Rhonda got out of the back of Bill's car. She rang Barb's doorbell, and then fell into Barb's arms when she answered the door.
having lunch with Don. Bill and Don were at the Wild Thymes Cafe and Bakery having lunch while discussing the Weber Gaming purchase. Don said he didn't care for the sideline business of selling used slot machines for home use, so Bill told him they would drop that part. Ana was Bill and Don's waitress, who began flirting with Bill after Don left.
Lois had her committed to a psychiatric hospital.. Joey asked where Wanda was and Lois said she had her committed to a psychiatric hospital. Lois said that someone had to do the right thing, and added that it was very hard on her. Joey was stunned for a moment, but then took off in Lois' car to see Wanda.

a rosary. Nicki was upset when she saw Wayne playing with the rosary which he said he got at school. Margene saw Nicki and said she couldn't just throw it away, she should give it to Margene. Nicki dropped the rosary in the trash anyway (on top of spaghetti) and Margene got it out and washed it off. Nicki went to the school and asked for an explanation of their beliefs, which she found disturbing. She was assured that the school did not give Wayne the rosary, and never tried to indoctrinate the students.
taking a second wife. Joey came back from talking to Barb to find Kathy, a newly-widowed woman, holding his son. Joey later called Barb and told her he was going to have to stay elsewhere because Kathy was staying to take care of the baby, after Lois had refused to do so. Joey made Barb a little uncomfortable by telling her that he thought any man who lived the principle was selfish. He also told her that she was the only thing keeping him going.
Margene. Margene's craving for pie sent Bill back to see Ana, and he surprised himself by taking his wedding ring off while he was there. Later, in need of more pie, Margene pulled up to Wild Thymes with her boys in the car. Through the window, she saw Bill engaged in playful conversation with Ana. A little surprised, but not wanting to intrude, Margene left. She went back later for some pie, and to meet Ana.
snoring. Since Joey didn't want to talk to Bill, he had been talking to Barb about what was going on with Wanda. Barb felt that Joey and Wanda should leave the compound, but had been disappointed when Wanda agreed with Lois that Joey should take a second wife. Barb found Joey sleeping on her sofa one evening, and wanted Bill to tell him that Wanda thought Joey should take Kathy as a second wife. Bill was at Margene's that night, so Barb went over there and woke him up to tell him about Joey. While they were whispering, Margene was snoring so loudly that Barb asked Bill how he slept with that.
Brynn's house. Rhonda stayed at Jordan's house, but she didn't like it there because Jordan smoked, and both Donna and Jordan taunted her with worldly talk. Sarah next asked Scott to let Rhonda stay at his apartment even though he was uncomfortable with the situation. Sarah was later called over because Rhonda wouldn't stop praying. She told Sarah that Scott had tried to rape her but she fought him off. Unbelieving, Sarah listened to Rhonda's lies and despairingly asked her, "What do you want?". Rhonda told her that she wanted to go to Heather's, so Sarah asked Heather to come over and pick up Rhonda.
