 Carnivale
Henry Scudder. Scudder used to work with Samson in the carnival but has since disappeared. Ben is interested in knowing more about him.
Catalina. He sleeps with Catalina in a bar/brothel and then hires her to come work for him in the strip show. Rita Sue is very jealous of her and tries to upstage her.
body building. Everyone who attends Dora May's funeral places a personal object in her grave. Samson contributes a photograph of him flexing his muscles in a professional pose.
The Left Hand of God. Justin calls himself this while in the mental hospital.

kitten. We see Ben's mother yelling at him and then drowning the kitten because it's supposed to be dead. Healing injured animals/people and bringing them back to life is Ben's gift.
Management. Samson continually refers to him/it as "Management" throughout the show. He is the one that supposedly makes all decisions concerning the crew of the carnival. At first, only Samson is allowed to speak with him, but eventually we see Lodz and Ben talking with him as well.
Jones. Samson shot the man who allegedly killed Dora May. Iris killed several children by setting Justin's new church on fire. Ben strangled Lodz for murdering Ruthie. Ben is also being hunted by the police for murder.
mother/daughter. Both of them are strippers and prostitutes. Libby's sister, Dora May, was also in the strip show until she was murdered.
Lila. Lila's beard looks very real, a testament to great makeup artists. Ruthie is the snake charmer, Rita Sue is a stripper and Sofie reads tarot cards with the help of her mother.
Jonesy. Ben found Jonesy after he had been tarred and feathered. He used his power to save him from dying from injuries from that and incidentally healed Jonesy's bad knee.
Norman. Norman raised Justin and Iris when they were left parentless. He tried to kill Justin at a revival after he understood that Justin was an evil man.
mother and son. Ruthie is the snake charmer. He son Gabriel is a very large boy.
Russian. Cameron Clapp played Management. Management had been a Russian soldier during World War I. Ben had to kill Management to defend his father.
Lila. Lila is the bearded lady at the carnival. She is played by Debra Christofferson.
his Grandmother's house. Ben saw his father's death mask at his Grandmother's house. At this point Ben assumed his father was dead, but he was mistaken.
Samson. Samson is played by Michael J. Anderson. Anderson was also in the series "Twin Peaks".
Iris. Brother Justin lives with his sister Iris. Iris is played by Amy Madigan. Amy Madigan is married to actor Ed Harris.
Rita Sue. Rita Sue's daughter, Dora Mae, was lynched. She was also Libby's sister.
Henry Scudder. Henry "Hack" Scudder was played by John Savage.
