Los Angeles. In the show, world-renowned chef Gordon Ramsay critiqued, worked, and trained twelve hopeful chefs, eliminating one each week until one remained. The final chef would win their very own restaurant to own and run.
Two. Sous-chefs Mary Ann and Scott were Gordon's seconds-in-command throughout the show. They'd assist him in making his decisions, they'd help in the kitchen, and they'd do minor tasks such as wake up the contestants (they lived in dormitories in the back of the restaurant).
Jessica. The red team consisted of Elsie, Jimmy, Dewberry, Jeff, Carolann and Chris, while the blue team included Andrew, Mary Ellen, Jessica, Wendy, Ralph and Michael. When only five chefs remained in the game, there were no teams. Everyone was playing for themselves, and they wore identical chef jackets with black shoulders.
Jean Philippe. Jean Philippe is another one of Gordon Ramsay's assistants on the show. He likes to make sure that the guests have a wonderful dining experience by helping them in any ways he can.
In the final episode, Ralph ends up calling Jean Philippe Jean Pierre. After many weeks in the intense competition, you'd think he'd know his name. :)
Pheasant. In the morning preceding each dinner serving, Chef Ramsay would add something new to the menu, and the chefs would need to learn how to prepare each new meal. Teams needed to clean squids for the second night in Hell's Kitchen, and for the fourth serving, both frog legs and pigeons are prepared. Pheasant isn't added to the menu until the final serving when Ralph and Michael are making their own restaurants.
Jeff. After succumbing to the pressures of Hell's Kitchen, Jeff leaves the game, and although this happens, Chef Ramsay still eliminates Wendy in the end of the episode. Jeff is the only player to actually leave the game.
Jessica. Jimmy wins the first individual challenge by creating the best flambé, and as a reward, he gets a helicopter ride over Los Angeles. Elsie wins the next challenge by creating a top-notch dish out of the previous night's leftovers, and she gets to appear on a talk show with Chef Ramsay. Ralph wins the next challenge and chooses what meat he would like to use first in the following dinner serving. The final challenge is one by Michael, and he gets first choice of chefs for his final restaurant serving.
Duck. During the individual challenge, Ralph won by making the best soufflé for Chef Ramsay, so he got to choose which meat he wanted to use during the dinner serving. He used beef, Michael used fish, and Jessica used chicken.
During the dinner serving, the chefs' families were served all three dishes. Five people liked Michael's fish, three liked Ralph's beef, and only one liked Jessica's chicken, so Chef Ramsay eliminated Jessica.
Michael. In the final episode, the aspiring chefs were told to build their own restaurants, make menus, and run the kitchen. Ralph's restaurant, named 'Frank and Lulu's', was created with a New York/Italian Pasta theme, and Michael's restaurant, 'Lola Pop' was a trendy Los Angeles restaurant. Although both restaurants performed exceedingly well, Michael prevailed and won his dream restaurant.
In the end, Gordon Ramsay gives Michael a choice between his restaurant or flying to London to be his protégé. Michael decides to go to London, and everyone celebrates.
Senior Sous Chef/Executive Chef. Fifteen eager contestants were trying for the Senior Sous Chef job at Gordon Ramsay's London West Hollywood restaurant. The salary for the position was $250,000.00 US. In the first episode, Gordon says that the position will be an Executive Chef job and he carries this forward for several episodes. Towards the end of the season, he says the job they are working towards was a Senior Sous Chef.

Exotic Tartare. It was Matt's "Exotic Tartare" which caused Gordon to vomit. The ingredients were raw venison and a raw quail egg, caviar, scallops, capers and to top it off white chocolate. The dish sounded horrible and probably tasted as horrible as it sounds.
Vanessa. It was Vanessa who left in episode five after burning her hand in episode four. She really tried to stay and cook but it was just too difficult for her. I thought she had the most potential of all the cooks.
Petrozza. The members of the Blue team were the losers in this episode. Ben and Louross nominated each other and Bobby nominated Petrozza. Petrozza did not want to nominate any one from his team so he nominated himself.
Ben was sent home due to lack of communication with his team. Gordon praised Petrozza for his selflessness.
John Dory. John Dory was the final item required for the test in episode nine. Each chef had fifteen seconds to work on the meals. Then they had fifteen seconds to tell the next chef what to do. The next chef took over and repeated the process. John Dory was a tasty fish meal.
Jen. They had forty-five minutes to create a innovative meal using their chosen ingredients. Matt made the veal which was flavorful. Christina had a sea bass that was outstanding. Corey had an asparagus, pea and lobster soup. Jen, was the winner with her thinly sliced beef.
Christina. Even though they started out as enemies, Corey and Christina's entries stood out. Matt and Bobby could not match the former enemies meals. Christina was declared the winner in a close race against Corey.
Petrozza. There were no ties in Hell's Kitchen. Petrozza was the winner, narrowly winning over Christina. Corey had left in the previous episode.
Christina Machamer. It was Christina Machamer, the culinary student with the impeccable palate who won "Hell's Kitchen". She won many challenges and deserved the title and the job.
