Nikita rescues him. Walter offered the bag with explosives to Michael, but he didn't take it. When he got to where he was supposed to set the bomb off, he found Nikita with the bag of explosives in front of a hole in the wall. All the security he was supposed to take out were taken out by Nikita.
Belinda. Burkoff knew, but didn't want to spoil Walter's day.

He turns out to be the real Mr. Jones, and he is killed by the Collective.. Her father decides to sacrifice himself and leave Nikita as the new Operations.
He dies trying to rescue Adam from the Collective.. Operations believes that if he can save Adam, Nikita will leave Section one to go live with Michael outside, and he will regain control of Section.
As a child, Madeline had a fight with her sister and accidentally pushed her down the stairs, killing her.. Madeline's mother never forgave her.

Walter had to decide which of the two baby twins would stay in section and he chose Birkoff.. Birkoff was almost incapable of forgiving Walter for his decision. After Birkoff dies, Jason is recruited into Section.

They poison Elena and Michael is sent to tell him she is dying.. Elena's father finally agrees to go see her in the hospital as she dies. Once he gets there, Section one takes him out, and stages Michael's death as well.

She wants Nikita's help in destroying Section One.. Adrian believes Operations is getting closer to controling the whole world and wants to destroy Section One. In the end, Nikita feels Section one is more helpful than harmful, and so she sides with Operations.
