Mr. Blumegarten. Mr. Blumegarten (William Schallert) played Wally's 8th grade teacher and later was the Assistant Principal, but was never Beaver's teacher. Miss Canfield was Beaver's 2nd grade teacher. Miss Landers was Beaver's teacher until sixth grade when he then had Mr. Blair.
Ward Cleaver. In the episode 'Beaver's Library Book', Beaver borrows Ward's library card on which is printed 'Ward Cleaver Jr.'
Metzger Field. Beaver's football team, The Lightning Eleven, played against Richard Rickover's team, The Grant Avenue Tigers', on Metzger Field in 'Beaver's Team.'

It's A Small World. I don't know why the title was changed when the series made it to the air. One choice for the series that was rejected was "Wally and Beaver", because sponsors thought it sounded too much like a nature show.
Casey Adams. Casey Adams was a stage name used by actor Max Showalter, who appeared in many movies and TV shows from the '50s to the '70s. His last on-screen appearance was in 1984's "Sixteen Candles".
As Ward Cleaver, he wore a smoking jacket, and was seen smoking cigarettes several times, something Hugh Beaumont's Ward never did.

Harry Shearer. Yep, Derek Smalls from "This Is Spinal Tap" and the voice of many characters on "The Simpsons"! Ryan O'Neal DID appear in an episode of "Leave It To Beaver", but the others never did.
1000. That's a lot of bottle caps! I forget exactly how he managed it, but Wally, played by an actor named Paul Sullivan (NOT Tony Dow), helped him. Paul Sullivan did not have much of an acting career outside of this pilot.

Richard Deacon. Richard Deacon, of course, went on to play Fred Rutherford, Ward's co-worker and father of Clarence "Lumpy" Rutherford. Burt Mustin played Gus the Fireman at Auxiliary Fire Station Number 7, and Edgar Buchanan played Captain Jack, who owned the alligator farm.

Mr. Baxter sends his secretary with the boys to buy a bike at a local bike shop.. But when he finds out there really is no contest, he goes and takes the bicycle back from the Beaver. Beaver doesn't want to give it back, but Ward tells him it's the responsible thing to do.
For two 'sponsible boys. A happy ending! Wally and Beaver run downstairs shouting "Hey Mom! Hey Dad!"
This episode was filmed without a laugh track and without the signature theme song, and in my opinion suffers for it.
