Lost in Space
1997. October 16, 1997. It was said several times during the first episode.
Athena. She was the green lady with that salad bowl thing on her head. We used to see her floating outside the Jupiter calling for Dr. Smith. Gotta love her!
In season, 3 Dr. Smith is left alone at the Jupiter 2. He turns the ship into a hotel for alien tourists. What place did he welcome people to? | 'Lost In Space' Trivia
|
six. Even though there were seven humans aboard, there were only six tubes: Dr. Smith was accidentally trapped on the Jupiter II and, therefore, a tube had not been planned for him.
Dr. Smith's added weight threw the ship off course and into an uncharted meteor storm.. Dr. Smith was really a spy and saboteur from a foreign country. When you think about it, he was actually quite inept -- I mean, come on, he got trapped on the very ship he's set to destroy?! Would YOU hire him to spy for your country?
The Chariot. The space pod was a smaller space vehicle used for short-distance flights.
A bodiless voice in a cave that Penny befriended. Mr. Nobody gives Penny diamonds as toys, and, of course, greedy Dr. Smith has to have some of that action!
Don. During the fierce storm at sea, Don had to get on the roof to repair the navigational system. He was swept over the side and feared lost, but managed to cling on to the side ladder.
Jimmy Hapgood. Hapgood had left Earth fifteen years prior to the Robinsons in his space capsule, called "Traveling Man."
Hatfield Four Corners, Vermont. In the only Christmas episode, Will was mistaken for an orphan with a wild imagination and almost got taken to a home for boys!
The Taurons. The Taurons left the machine and it self-destructed as soon as Will returned.
To get carbon tetrachloride and let Alpha Control know where they were.. The family had run dangerously low on carbon tetrachloride, needed for food purification.
Preplanis. We had no clue (and thought the Robinsons didn't!) until Will went back to Earth (Episode 15, "Return From Outer Space") and informed everyone that they were on Preplanis!
In episode 14, "Attack of the Monster Plants," who is "eaten" and duplicated by one of the giant plants? | More "Lost in Space"
|
Judy. The plants seemed menacing at the time, but now they're hilarious!
What part of Dr. Smith's body did he most often describe as "extremely delicate?" | More "Lost in Space"
|
his back. Dr. Smith frequently used his "delicate back" as an excuse to get out of...everything!
Judy. The Robot, entered in a blond wig, was hilariously disgusted!
Kurt Russell. It was about this same time that Kurt played a jungle boy on "Gilligan's Island."
He didn't have a reflection.. Michael J. Pollard played the unnamed boy, who couldn't shoot at his reflection (the only way out) because he didn't have a reflection.
Dr. Smith orders her from an android machine.. Verda came from an intergalactic department store, and the manager, Mr. Zumdish, arrived later, demanding payment.
"Greensleeves". Billy Mumy was a multi-talented kid and grew into a multi-talented man!
IDAK. IDAK was a faulty "super android," played by Don Matheson, who went on to star in another Irwin Allen series, "Land of the Giants."
He kisses her.. The Robot tells Will he must kiss her, and Will is EXTREMELY reluctant. With good reason, too: the "man" who wakes her must marry her!
John and Don discover that the planet is breaking up.. Character actor Strother Martin has a memorable role as an old miner in this episode, the first of the second season.
Zeno. Daddy Zack was also Smith's double, with a huge personality change: he loved everyone and was a hard worker!
He goes inside him and reverses his ionic process.. A really good (if completely unbelievable) episode, filled with props that we saw in other episodes, but who cares?!
Captain Alonzo P. Tucker. Captain Tucker was originally from Earth!
