Matlock
Atlanta. He lives in Atlanta, Georgia. He travels to different cities and even out of the United States to defend people.
Attorney. He is an attorney. He is very sneaky. He called a woman that he needed for a witness one time and pretended that he had a job offer for her so that she would come back to Atlanta. When she did, one of his associates was waiting for her at the airport and handed her a subpoena as soon as she got off the plane!
Andy Griffith. Andy Griffith plays Ben Matlock. He also played Andy on 'The Andy Griffith Show'.

Randy Travis. Randy Travis plays a man who is down on his luck and Ben hires him to paint his house. He is not very good at it though! They sing a few songs together on this episode. Randy Travis also stars in at least one other episode.
Leann McIntyre. Leann Matlock's married name is Leann McIntyre. Leann divorced her husband for committing adultery.

Ben has Paul print out Professor Gallagher's test scores and finds that Mark's test scores were changed at 7:29 which means that Professor Gallagher was still alive when Marcy left at 7:20, or that the killer changed his test score. There was no reason for Marcy to change Mark's grades. He also found out that Mark cheated on the test so Professor Gallagher was giving him an F not an A which is what the test score had been changed to. All Ben needed was reasonable doubt to get Marcy off the hook.
four dogs all the way. Ben orders hot dogs for Conrad, Michelle, Marcy and himself at the end of the show.
Julie Sommars. Julie Sommars was born in 1942 and was also in a "Perry Mason" tv-movie.

yes. In "The Best Friend," Matlock's client actually did commit the murder. Because his client changed her plea to guilty, Julie won the case. Also, in the episode about the tennis player, Julie won the case within the first 10 minutes of the show. Ben (actually Michelle) spent the rest of the episode trying to get evidence for a retrial - which Ben won.
Friday. In "The Best Friend," Ben had obtained tickets to a Gilbert and Sullivan show, but Julie had other plans. Ben was upset because Friday was the night that the two of them usually would go out and do something together.
yes. In the episode where Ben was accused of jury tampering, Julie resigned from her job in order to defend him. Unfortunately, Charlene also wanted to defend her father, but Julie was a better lawyer.
