 Rescue Me

Jimmy Keefe. Jimmy Keefe, played by actor James McCaffrey, was Tommy's dead cousin. Jimmy had been killed on September 11th, and for three seasons appeared to Tommy as if he were real.
The only lady on the team in seasons one and two, Laura Miles first appeared in season one's "Inches". Diane Farr played Laura before moving on to star in "Numbers".
Mickey. Mickey was also an alcoholic like Tommy. He didn't remain an active priest, but continued to help Tommy stay sober. Johnny is one of Tommy's three brothers and Kenny (nicknamed Lou) Shea was on Ladder 62 in seasons one through three.
Mike Silletti. Mike was the youngest man on the team. Due to his newbie status, he was referred to as Probie, which was short for probation. Even after Mike had earned his role on the team, the men continued to call him Probie, which he hated. Mike proved himself to be a bit slow time and again, but was a good person. In season three, Mike revealed to the audience he may be gay, and later his firehouse found out as well.
I assume Mike's last name is a small homage to producer Tom Sellitti, with the i and e being reversed in Mike's name.

Franco. Tommy was once again fighting his inner demons on the job. In order to save Tommy, Franco put himself in harms way. In season two we could see Franco deal with the aftermath. He had a huge healing burn on his neck, for which he later become addicted to pain pills.
Daniel Sunjata played Franco. He can also be seen in the 2006 film "The Devil Wears Prada", and as Burt Trevor on the series "Law and Order:SVU".
Teddy. Uncle Teddy stepped in to prevent Tommy from killing the man himself. He did not want Tommy throwing away his whole life, since he still had two other kids to take care of. So, Teddy took a gun and shot the drunk driver after he'd been taken into custody. The man had a history of getting away with DUIs and being allowed to drive again. That was the main reason Tommy wanted to kill him. He knew the man could get out and kill another innocent person.
Teddy became a celebrity for the murder, and even fought being freed from prison in season three.

his father's birthday party. Tommy had Sheila arrange the party for him, which turned out fine. But, as usual, nothing ever goes smoothly. While at the party, Tommy noticed the tiniest thing to alert him to Sean and Maggie's secret romance. He saw Sean take the cherry out of Maggie's martini glass. Then, he dropped something on the floor and bent down to retrieve it. While under the table, Tommy saw his brother Johnny holding hands with his ex-wife Janet. Tommy allowed his anger to seethe for a few minutes, and then he promptly beat the daylights out of Johnny.
No. Lou was actually one of many victims of a con artist prostitute. I believe Lou met her without knowing she was a prostitute, but he may known that much. He soon found out the truth, because her scam was that she'd been trying to free herself of a pimp. The only problem was that the man wouldn't let her go without a huge pay off. This woman was able to con many men out of thousands of dollars. I believe she got $26,000 from Lou, who believed she loved him. This completely devastated Lou financially, as well as emotionally. He showed no signs of recovering from this ordeal until she was busted in season three.

Marisa Tomei. Marisa Tomei won her Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in the film "My Cousin Vinny". Angie and Tommy carried on for several episodes, but Angie dumped him for good after Janet came over for a tryst while Angie was still at Tommy's.
Denis Leary. Leary is also a writer, producer and creator of 'Rescue Me'.
