Hokey, Dokey. Boris here. Last chance. Jay Ward and Bill Scott, who created Squirrel and dopey Moose also created the first TV cartoon show starring a little rabbit and a big tiger. What was the Tiger's name? 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Rags. Munimula is, of course, Aluminum spelled backwards and the name of the planet from which the evil aliens came in the 50's cartoon show, Ruff and Reddy. It was a Hanna-Barbera show rather than Ward and Scott. The similarities between Ruff and Reddy and Crusader Rabbit were striking enought to remind me of a TS Elliot quote: "Immature poets imitate. Mature poets steal."

What direction DID Upsadasium go darling? Wait! Don't say it. They could go back and change their answer to down. (I am just so vicked!). Now Boopsie, you're running out of chances. Vat whale character played an important part on the show?'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Maybe Dick. Mobey Grape was a SF rock band from the sixties. Flipper was, of course, a Dolphin who seemed always to be saving the life of a small boy who I don't think was named Timmy. Free Wiley was a double reference, the first obvious, the second to Wiley E Coyote who seemed to have the same knack with explosives as Boris Badenov. (How's that for loose associations?)

Oh Natasha. Ve are murdering them now. I love winning for a change. This time we really will get rid of moose. So now I ask impossibly obscure and dastardly question. In which direction did upsidasium go?'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Up. Bullwinkle inherited an Upsidasium mine. It's antigravity property was utilized to fly it and the mountain containing it to Washington DC. However, Boris and Natasha repeatedly interrupted the journey attempting to steal the mine.

Brilliant, Dahling. I think you might have got them that time. But just in case I will ask another question. Vat do giant moon mice eat?'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Television antennas. Mr. Big goes to the moon and convinces Gidney and Cloyd to send the metal munching moon mice to earth. After the television antennas were eaten people were reduced to watching washing machines.

Hoo Boy, Natasha. Ve are running out of questions. All right Quizzling. Moose and Squirrel are always sailing with that nutty captain in the S.S. Guppy. Vat is his name?'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Peachfuzz. The Captain's full name was "Peter Wrongway Peachfuzz". His voice was done by Paul Frees who also did both Boris Badenov and Fearless Leader.

Oh good Dahling! I'm sure that tripped them up. Did it occur to you that three of your choices weren't even fish. Is never going to be killing moose that way. Hokay smarty pants, vat is name of Pottsylvanian gangster we somtimes work with?'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Mr. Big. The constant threats from Mr. Big and Fearless leader made me sympathetic toward Boris and Natasha, as I feel certain their creators intended. Natasha's last name was Fatale and she was not married to Boris.

Natasha! Vat is wrong with you? What answer did you expect them to give, sputnik? No more Meester Nice Villain. If you want to see moose alive you better be able to tell me this. Squirrel always finding message in bottle and moose is always saying "fan mail from some..." What kind of fish comes after "some"?'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

flounder. The short connector segments included the message in the bottle gags, Mr. Know It All, Bullwinkles Poetry Corner and Bullwinkle as magician. All of them remained funny to me despite endless repitition. That trick always worked on me.

Oh Boris, they all know the answer to that question. So, Dollink, if you want to save moose answer this: where were Gidney and Cloyd from? 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

The Moon. The serial episode format was also used in the first 1950's cartoon show, "Crusader Rabbit", created by the same two men who brought Rocky and Bullwinkle into being. Gidney and Cloyd were in the first set of episodes.

That was too easy, Natasha. Boris here this time. Boris Badenov. We vill bring him to our homeland, to you know where. If you vant moose back, quiz-taker, vat is you know where? Heh, heh, heh.'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Pottsylvania. Bullwinkle J Moose and Rocket J Squirrel were only two of the regular characters that populated the show. I personally found both Peabody the dog and his boy Sherman funnier and Fractured Fairy Tales funniest. I never warmed to Dudley-Do-Right, however.

Hello Dollink. Natasha here. So, you want to get moose out of quiz. Ok then, when dumb moose tries to pull rabbit out of hat, what does he always say first?'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

Nothin' up my sleeve.. 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' were on prime time from 1959 to 1964. Remember how the story would be spread over a number of segments with two parts in each show. At the end of the first episode we would be exhorted to, "stay tuned for the next exciting episode," after which a title would be given followed by a truly terrible pun.
