Mr. Peabody . He always hung around with Sherman.

Hokey, Dokey. Boris here. Last chance. Jay Ward and Bill Scott, who created Squirrel and dopey Moose also created the first TV cartoon show starring a little rabbit and a big tiger. What was the Tiger's name? | 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse
|
Rags. Munimula is, of course, Aluminum spelled backwards and the name of the planet from which the evil aliens came in the 50's cartoon show, Ruff and Reddy. It was a Hanna-Barbera show rather than Ward and Scott. The similarities between Ruff and Reddy and Crusader Rabbit were striking enought to remind me of a TS Elliot quote: "Immature poets imitate. Mature poets steal."
What direction DID Upsadasium go darling? Wait! Don't say it. They could go back and change their answer to down. (I am just so vicked!). Now Boopsie, you're running out of chances. Vat whale character played an important part on the show? | 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse
|
Maybe Dick. Mobey Grape was a SF rock band from the sixties. Flipper was, of course, a Dolphin who seemed always to be saving the life of a small boy who I don't think was named Timmy. Free Wiley was a double reference, the first obvious, the second to Wiley E Coyote who seemed to have the same knack with explosives as Boris Badenov. (How's that for loose associations?)
Oh Natasha. Ve are murdering them now. I love winning for a change. This time we really will get rid of moose. So now I ask impossibly obscure and dastardly question. In which direction did upsidasium go? | 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse
|
Up. Bullwinkle inherited an Upsidasium mine. It's antigravity property was utilized to fly it and the mountain containing it to Washington DC. However, Boris and Natasha repeatedly interrupted the journey attempting to steal the mine.
Television antennas. Mr. Big goes to the moon and convinces Gidney and Cloyd to send the metal munching moon mice to earth. After the television antennas were eaten people were reduced to watching washing machines.
Peachfuzz. The Captain's full name was "Peter Wrongway Peachfuzz". His voice was done by Paul Frees who also did both Boris Badenov and Fearless Leader.
Oh good Dahling! I'm sure that tripped them up. Did it occur to you that three of your choices weren't even fish. Is never going to be killing moose that way. Hokay smarty pants, vat is name of Pottsylvanian gangster we somtimes work with? | 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse
|
Mr. Big. The constant threats from Mr. Big and Fearless leader made me sympathetic toward Boris and Natasha, as I feel certain their creators intended. Natasha's last name was Fatale and she was not married to Boris.
Natasha! Vat is wrong with you? What answer did you expect them to give, sputnik? No more Meester Nice Villain. If you want to see moose alive you better be able to tell me this. Squirrel always finding message in bottle and moose is always saying "fan mail from some..." What kind of fish comes after "some"? | 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' Quiz or...Make Mine Mousse

flounder. The short connector segments included the message in the bottle gags, Mr. Know It All, Bullwinkles Poetry Corner and Bullwinkle as magician. All of them remained funny to me despite endless repitition. That trick always worked on me.
The Moon. The serial episode format was also used in the first 1950's cartoon show, "Crusader Rabbit", created by the same two men who brought Rocky and Bullwinkle into being. Gidney and Cloyd were in the first set of episodes.
Pottsylvania. Bullwinkle J Moose and Rocket J Squirrel were only two of the regular characters that populated the show. I personally found both Peabody the dog and his boy Sherman funnier and Fractured Fairy Tales funniest. I never warmed to Dudley-Do-Right, however.
Nothin' up my sleeve.. 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' were on prime time from 1959 to 1964. Remember how the story would be spread over a number of segments with two parts in each show. At the end of the first episode we would be exhorted to, "stay tuned for the next exciting episode," after which a title would be given followed by a truly terrible pun.
Yes. The other cartoon features were: 'Bullwinkle's Corner' where Bullwinkle comically reads poems and nursery rhymes, 'Mr. Know it All' where Bullwinkle gave words of wisdom, 'The Rocky and Bullwinkle Fan Club' and 'The World of Commander McBragg' which only appeared on some syndicated prints of 'Rocky and Bullwinkle'.
Aesop and Son. In these cartoons, Aesop is trying to teach his son different lessons using fables. As with all fables, each ended with a moral, but these morals were in the form of puns given by Aesop's son. The voice of Aesop was provided by Charlie Ruggles and Aesop, Jr. was voiced by Daws Butler.
Fractured Fairy Tales. The segment titled 'Fractured Fairy Tales' was a new twist on these time honored children's stories. These unusual stories were narrated by Edward Everett Horton who had a very distinctive voice. Horton was born in 1886 and started doing the 'Fractured Fairy Tales' at age 80. He died in 1970.
both Peabody and Sherman. Mr. Peabody, a white dog who was a genius and spoke impeccably, wore both horn-rimmed glasses and a bow tie. Sherman, Mr. Peabody's boy, also wore horn-rimmed glasses. Horn-rimmed glasses were stereotypically worn by highly intellectual individuals.
The Wayback Machine. The WABAC machine, pronounced wayback, was a time machine, invented by Mr. Peabody to transport him and Sherman back in history. WABAC was a spoof on the name of an IBM computer, the UNIVAC.
Peabody. This cartoon feature was titled 'Mr. Peabody's Improbable History'. Mr. Peabody was a genius dog who had the ability to speak. The voice of Mr. Peabody was provided by Bill Scott, and the voice of his boy, Sherman was provided by Walter Tetley.
Hans Conried. The voice of Snidley Whiplash was provided by Hans Conreid. Conreid's acting career started in 1938 when he appeared in a movie titled 'Dramatic School'. Over his lengthy career, 1938-1986, he is credited with having performed in 190 different shows and movies.
In the 'Dudley Do-Right' features, Dudley was always trying to gain the affections of the beautiful Nell Fenwick. Unfortunately, Nell's affections were directed towards another. Towards whom were Nell's affections directed? | Other Cartoons on 'Rocky and Bullwinkle'
|
Dudley's horse named Horse. Nell Fenwick had eyes for Dudley's horse, named Horse. The voice of the beautiful Nell Fenwick was provided by June Foray, who also voiced Rocky and Natasha. According to IMDb.com, Foray is credited with having done voice work for 200 different productions.
One of the other cartoons that aired along with 'Rocky and Bullwinkle' had a man, dressed in a red coat with a large wide brimmed hat. What was this character's name? | Other Cartoons on 'Rocky and Bullwinkle'
|
Dudley Do-Right. This character, clad in a red coat and with the wide brimmed hat, was Dudley Do-Right of the Canadian Mounties. The actor whose voice was the voice of Dudley was Bill Scott. Scott was also one of the show's writers and producers. The Dudley Do-Right cartoons also earned their own TV show, 'The Dudley Do-Right Show', which aired in 1969 and 1970.
Pottsylvania. Boris and Natasha are spies from the fictional country of Pottsylvania.
This Rocky and Bullwinkle related character would often point to a spinning globe and remark "There..." and proceed to tell one of his stories. The segment always ended with the main character responding "Quite". Who was this character? | Bullwinkle and Friends
