So You Think You Can Dance
Dmitry. All of Dmitry's solos involved an unbuttoned shirt and if it was buttoned, he'd rip it open at the end of his routine.
Heidi and Benji. Both dancers were in the top four, and they both specialized in West Coast Swing. Benji won "So You Think You Can Dance" and was crowned with the title of America's favorite dancer.
Stanislav. He was partnered with Erin, who also left. They danced a Paso Doble. Even with Stanislav in his style, he failed to neither enterain America nor the judges.
Which female dancer opened the competition with an amazing hip-hop routine to the song, "2 Much Booty In Da Pants?" | So You Think You Can Dance
|
Donyelle. This routine was hardcore hip-hop with a lot of BOOTY!
Musa. Musa was 28 years old when the compition was going on. That's ten years older than the majority of the dancers competing (Martha, Travis, Ben, Jessica, Ivan, Joy and Allison). During the show they were 18 and Erin turned 19 in May, right before the real competition started.
Which extremely gifted female dance was a popping expert, was usually seen wearing a hat, and did an interesting contemporary routine with Dmitry to the song "Dance, Dance?" | So You Think You Can Dance
|
Ashlee. Ashlee Nino was originally partners with Ben, but when both she and Dmitry lost partners, they were paired together.
10. America voted and in the beginning of the show, the couples with the bottom three votes would dance for their lives in front of the judges. The judges then decided which boy and girl would go home!
Stanislav. Even though he had great technique, he was eliminated without really getting a chance to prove himself worthy.
Martha. Martha didn't make it to the top 8, but Travis came in second, which in my opinion sucks! He should have won!
Heidi. Benji and Heidi grew up learning dance at Benji's parents' dance studio. Benji won "So You Think You Can Dance" and Heidi came in fourth.
"Cell Block Tango". The top eight dancers (Benji, Travis, Donyelle, Heidi, Allison, Natalie, Ryan, and Ivan) performed the "Cell Block Tango" and also performed it on their tour, which was amazing!
Allison. When Allison was eliminated, everyone was in shock. Mary had even predicted her to be the winner. She showed amazing skill and it was very sad to see her go.
sunflower. The sunflower not only is held at the end, but is a part of the dance as well. Throughout the dance, Heidi is trying to give Travis the flower.
"Sexy Back". This was personally one of my favorite dances. And like Brian nad Mary said, Travis really does stand out!
models. The goal was for the dancers to portray the life of a high fashion super model. They did a pretty darn good job!
Allison. Martha, Travis, Ivan, and Allison are all within one year of each other. While on the show, all of them were eighteen. However, Allison had just turned eighteen when the show began.
nerds. This dance was a judge's favorite. It starts out with Benji and Travis imitating nerds, then they break out into some awesome hip hop moves!
Mia Michaels. Mia Michaels choreographed their routine, to "Dancing" by Elisa. This routine was a contemporary routine that got a ton of praise from the audience and judges.
Lauren and Neil. This routine that Lauren and Neil performed has been one of my favorite so far this season. The choreographer, Dave Scott, also choreographed dancing in the movie "Stomp the Yard."
Dominic. Every performance week, the dancers reveal something new about themselves. One week, the dancers were told to tell America something that no one really knew about them. Dominic said that he had a crush on Cat.
Neil. On one show, the dancers were asked to tell America something that they didn't know. Neil told us that he can do an "awesome" Wookie sound, that is, like Chewbacca!
Jaimie. Denise Wall is the mother and instructor of last season's runner-up, Travis. We found out in one episode this season that Jaimie also has Denise for a dance teacher.
Jaimie, Lauren, Anya. The night of the eliminations deciding the top ten the bottom three girls were Jaimie, Lauren, and Anya. Jaimie was first to step forward and was told that she was safe. Then, Nigel said that between Anya and Lauren they were not unanimous in their decision, but that two of the judges felt that Lauren should stay. So, with that, Anya was sent home.
Anya and Hok. The two dancers that were eliminated leaving the top ten dancers were Anya and Hok. Hok being eliminated wasn' t that much of a surprise considering he was up against Danny and Neil, but Anya was a tough decision. The girls in danger were Jaimie, Lauren, and Anya, and in the end, I think that the right person was eliminated.
Mia Michaels. Mia Michaels was the third judge along with Nigel Lithgoe and Mary Murphy.
Argentine Tango and Hip Hop. On the night of the top eight performances, Danny and Sara were paired up for an Argentine Tango that got great reviews, and a hip hop routine that didn't get great reviews!
Neil and Dominic. The night of that two of eight were eliminated, the bottom two guys were Neil and Dominic and the bottom two girls were Lauren and Sara.
mannequin. This hip hop routine choreographed by Dave Scott was a very unique dance, in which Pasha was a nerd and Lacey a mannequin!
plange. As Neil and Sabra are listening to the judges after their jazz dance, Nigel asks Neil what the trick is called, and he responds by saying that it's called a plange.
Neil. After dancing the Pasa Doble, Mary Murphy tells Neil and Sabra that they have two tickets on the Hot Tamale Train. Neil responds by saying, "This is my first time on the train!"
Tyce Diorio. The top four started out the night with a Broadway routine choreographed by Tyce Diorio.
