Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information
'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' - US
Carol Channing whos head keeps on getting stuck to things. After Drew saw that he was ok, he could not stop laughing.
During a game of Greatest Hits, what type of pudding did Colin say to Ryan that made him laugh hysterically? | "Whose Line Is It Anyway"
|
Tapioca. Ryan could not contain his laughter after Colin said this.
Captain Hair. A very funny episode.
Insurance salesman. Another very funny skit.
Yes. Personally, I like Chip better.
Spiders. One audience member originally said spiders, but eventually they came up with women. Colin, for some reason, did not want to sing about women.
Wayne spelled Howard wrong.. Also in the episode, actually in the same game, Laura Hall's keyboard went out of control and sped up really fast.
Africa. The contestants made fun of Drew a lot because of this.
Whistle. Later in the show he could whistle.
Feces. Drew Carey then joked, "Some big city mayors say that's not art, I say they're wrong."
Melissa. Wayne's quirk was to be movie footage of King Kong vs. Godzilla. He went into the audience and pretended that Melissa was Faye Wray, but when he lifted her up over his shoulder, he accidentally lifted up her skirt, revealing her underwear! Ryan Stiles later joked about it during a hoedown.
Wet Biscuit McGlee. Wayne Brady was later asked to read the credits as Wet Biscuit McGlee, whose singing was clearly gibberish.
Village People. Towards the end of the song, Derek got up from the stool he was sitting on and started dancing with Wayne and Chip.
Insurance salesman. At first, Drew Carey asked the audience for an example of two unlikely roommates, and an audience member suggested Bill Cosby and Hitler. For obvious reasons, they scrapped that idea.
Horward. It was this episode, the 100th episode, that both Wayne AND the band goof up. Towards the beginning of the song, Laura Hall's piano messes up and the tempo becomes extremely fast. Wayne says that "it's hard to spell at 210 beats a minute," but it is evident that he misspells "Howard" way before the tempo gets out of control.
During Episode 311 before a game of "African Chant" to Mike the Astronomy student, Drew makes a comment about Mike studying something else besides Astronomy. What did he accidently refer to? | Whose Mistake Is It Anyway?
|
Astrology. Having fun before the game, Drew makes fun of Mike because he is an Astronomy graduate student. Drew mentions that Mike will find his future job as a delivery pizza guy. Ryan then says, "I don't need a map, I know where I'm going!". Drew then says, "You are a Gemini, you will do good things tomorrow," and waves his hands around like he is predicting from a crystal ball. That ISN'T astronomy; that's astrology.
During a "Doo Wop" to Cheryl, who died in a knitting accident, Chip and Wayne change the person's name to who? | Whose Mistake Is It Anyway?
|
Carol. During Episode 241's "Doo Wop," Chip starts to call Cheryl, Carol towards the end of the song. He says, "...because Carol, she died when she was knitting." Wayne then follows up with, "We love you Carol...Cheryl!"
and take me on a. The title of the song is "You've Got Sole" from the hit broadway musical "Shoe." Instead of saying one word, like he is supposed to, Drew says five. Once he said it, he realizes his mistake and says, "Oh, sorry...one word at a time." This game makes an appearance on the "Best Of Whose Line is it Anyway" compilation episode.
South American. The quirk is actually "I've got a secret episode of the South American version of the 'Jerry Springer Show.'" Wayne just does a regular version. Afterwards, Ryan tells Wayne that his thong is on too tight. This is Episode 133 and Brad Sherwood was the host of "Party Quirks."
During a game of "Greatest Hits" where Wayne sings about James Bond, Wayne keeps saying "My shoe is a phone." Instead of "phone," what was he suppose to say? | Whose Mistake Is It Anyway?
|
Gun. This is the second song of the game. Ryan says the title of the song is "My Shoe is a Gun." Wayne sings, "My shoe is a phone, I call home.." This is Episode 103 and Kathy Greenwood is the featured guest.
Jimmy. Lassie comes on the show as part of "Salute to American Television." Before Song Styles begins, Brad asks Lassie if "Jimmy fell down the well?" It's Timmy, not Jimmy.
During a game of "Two Line Vocabulary," one of Ryan's lines is "Should I use my gun?" What does he accidentally say? | Whose Mistake Is It Anyway?
|
Should I shoot my gun?. And nobody says anything about it. How odd! The other line Ryan has is "What was that?" This is Episode 417, the same episode that Drew knocks down a camera by throwing the hat from "Scenes From A Hat" after the game.
In a game of "Living Scenery," Ryan and Colin play "Rock, Paper, Scissors." Ryan physically wins, but Colin says out loud that he does. What items do Ryan and Colin each play out? | Whose Mistake Is It Anyway?
|
Ryan has rock and Colin has scissors. Neena and Veena, the belly dancers, are the "props" for "Living Scenery." Ryan and Colin are "a newlywed couple gambling in a casino just before retiring to their elaborate honeymoon suite." This episode first aired July 25, 2003, as Episode 155.
In a game of "Scene With An Audience Member," the audience member is Batgirl. But what do Ryan and Colin call her? | Whose Mistake Is It Anyway?
|
Catwoman. Ryan and Colin keep switching up her name from Batgirl and Catwoman. Why? I wonder. Those two names aren't much alike. This episode, Episode 348, is from the same taping as Episodes 219 and 239 known for "Captain Hair" and the "Newsflash" of Colin clips. This episode is clearly out of order because this episode airs a few seasons after the other two.
Scenes from a Hat. They do this one quite frequently. The audience writes things they would like to see the performers do, and the suggestions are put into a hat.
Questionable Impressions. This game isn't played very much, despite it being hilarious. The performers are given a scene, and they must impersonate someone while doing the scene.
Superheroes. One performer starts out with an identity from the audience. As each performer comes into the scene, the previous person names them.
f. The name of the game is just Whose Line. Colin and Ryan do a scene together, every once in a while inserting unusual lines that audience members wrote down into the scene.
Colin breaks up the scene that Wayne, Ryan, and the guest act out. Colin then tells them how awful it was, then says to do the scene backwards. What is this an example of? | "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Games 3
|
Hollywood Director. Colin gets notes on advice to give the performers. They then act the scene again with the changes Colin suggests.
A suggestion from the audience was Bill Cosby and Hitler. But they weren't allowed to use this suggestion, so it ended up being Bill Cosby and the Insurance Salesman. What game caused this conflict? | "Whose Line is it Anyway?" Games 3
|
Title Sequence. This became a running joke through the rest of the show, including Scenes from a Hat and the Director Hoedown.
Altoids . When the performers do disgustingly physical stunts, like when Ryan licked Colin's ear, Drew normally offers them Altoids. The performers usually end up eating a mouthful of them. Once, when Ryan said his mouth was burning after eating a handful, Wayne responded with "You're going to have fresh breath for, like, twenty years now."
