Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance
Parentless. According to Gallian legend, When a "Parentless" comes into being, a century of destruction follows.
Stefan: "Yes, that's it. The Laguz do call us that. "Parentless," as if to deny our heritage. As if to deny that we are their kin. That's how the Laguz treat us--as if we should never have been born. The Beorc may tremble when they see the brands we bear, but at least they do not deny that we share blood. That is why so many of the Branded hate the Laguz--because they have rejected our very existence."
Ilyana. Ilyana is famed to eat the food of five people, and she often cons people out of their snacks. Zihark is one to uncover her antics.
Zihark: "You're a bit of a celebrity among the men in the unit. They say you lure them in with your cute face and then run off with their snacks."
Ilyana: "They do?"
Zihark: "Oh, yes they do! You're a beef jerky thief, aren't you? I know about the apple pie incident, too. Yeah... I know your tricks. Is it true that you don't remember their names, even after they buy you an expensive meal? That's just terrible."
Rajaion. Ashnard's mount, Rajaion, was not a wyvern as Ike originally thought. It was actually a Dragon Laguz, and Ena's mate.
Ike: "What's going on? His mount is so calm..."
Nasir: "Ike... Let them be.
Ike: "Nasir, what's this all about?"
Nasir: "That...is her mate. As death nears, he has regained his sanity."
Ike: "King Daein's mount is Ena's...mate?"
fruit and nuts. Herons can only have a very limited diet. If they stray a little from their strict nut-and-fruit lunch, they get very sick. Reyson got sick of his life and frail body, so he tried something new:
Reyson: "That's very kind, but my diet... Heh. It's fairly limited. You know, I used to be disgusted by my thin, frail body. So one time I performed a little experiment. I got all the foods that Tibarn likes--raw meat, cold fish, insects--and ate them. I ate them all."
Ike: "That doesn't sound good. What happened?"
Reyson: "I stared death in the face for ten days. You've never seen a Laguz so green! I guess we herons are just meant to eat fruits and nuts for our entire lives."
Ike: "...I can't imagine. Raw meat? You must have been desperate!"
Lucia. Lucia and Geoffrey are siblings whose family helped raise Princess Elincia. The three grew quite fond of each other, and their friendship persists throughout the game.
Sometime during their life together, Geoffrey fell in love with Elincia:
Geoffrey: "Those early days were the best of my life. Crimea was at peace, and the whole land was filled with such beauty. The princess was especially beautiful... I remember chasing her and my sister,
Lucia, around the villa... But alas! She is above my station! I can never have her, and yet... I cannot forget the past!"
Greil. This conversation is an excerpt from Titania and Ike's A support:
Ike: "You have done much. You helped my father build this company. He had lost his wife and had two young children to care for... I wish to thank you for that."
Titania: "...Oh, Ike..."
Ike: "I've taken everything in my life for granted, and it was all possible because of you. My thanks is far too late in coming."
Titania: "It's not necessary, Ike. What I did, I did because--"
Ike: "You loved him. Didn't you?"
Stefan. There are several locations where this information is revealed including Ike/Soren A support, Soren/Stefan B support, and Stefan/Mordecai B support.
Here is an excerpt from the Soren/Stefan support:
Stefan: "You've grown quite good at hiding it, but, it's merely a matter of time before your heritage becomes...evident."
Stefan: "You may have already started to notice. We age differently than the Beorc. Of course, the specifics of it depend on the type of Laguz blood that flows in your veins."
Soren: "I thought I was aging normally... Well, until about three years ago."
Stefan: "You won't be able to remain in the same place. Beorc aren't very observant, but even they will soon catch on."
|In a one of the game's lighter moments, Makalov returns a jewel he "borrowed" from Astrid after Ike lectures him. Makalov says,
"So anyway, I thought I should give it back before he has Soren sneak into my tent and turn me into a __________ or something."

newt. This is from a rare Astrid/Makalov support that only triggers if Marcia is dead. If she is alive, the conversation is different.
The other conversation goes as follows:
"But then she started crying and stuff. Said that I ripped you off and I was a big swindler... So I thought I should give it back before she hits me on the head with her big lance again."
|When Ike wonders why Zihark fought so valiantly for Laguz rights, he replies, "...Of course I have my reasons. Would you be upset if I didn't want to discuss them? My reasons are...extremely personal."
What is the reason Zihark defends the Laguz?

His girlfriend was a Laguz.. The society of Tellius does not tolerate interracial relationships. Due to social pressures, Zihark and his girlfriend had to separate.
In a conversation with Muarim, Zihark confesses his past:
Muarim: "You...were involved with a Laguz?"
Muarim: "That is very uncommon. I've heard stories of love affairs between Beorc and Laguz. It must have been difficult. I do not imagine either society would have accepted it with ease."
Zihark: "It...was too much for her. We couldn't be married, and the pressure was too much for her to stay with me, but I've never loved another woman. To this day, I think that I never shall."
Josh. Taureono is a Daein general who was good friends with Greil. He reveals much of his past to Rolf, who he mistakes for his own son.
Taureono: "My...son. Josh. My oldest. Josh is an adult now. But he looked so much like you, once. Long ago... I can't believe I thought you were my own son. I've grown old and senile. Ha! Foolish old man..."
Later, he adds:
Taureono: "He took to the field as Ashnard's personal aide. And he came home on a litter, grievously wounded. He escaped death, but he didn't escape his wounds. He'll never walk again."
Begnion and Goldoa. When the Begnion Senators declared that only a human could be the true ruler of Begnion, a fierce civil war broke out that caused the Laguz to be enslaved. Two hundred years passed before they fled into what became the Laguz countries.
Goldoa is the country of the Dragons, ruled by Deghinsea.
Phoenicis is the country of the Hawks, ruled by Tibarn.
Kilvas is the country of the Ravens, ruled by Naesala.
Gallia is the country of the Beasts, ruled by Caineghis.
Begnion is a country of Beorc, and is home of Altina's heir, Empress Sanaki. The country also houses of Serenes forest, home of the Heron tribe. Begnion is ruled by the Empress and Prime Minister Sephiran.
Daein is a Beorc country known for its military strength, ruled by King Ashnard.
Crimea is a country known for its scholarship. Its leaders were assassinated at the beginning of the game.
That person is half-Beorc, half-Laguz.. The Branded are those who have both Laguz and Beorc blood in them. All the information about this race is revealed only in the supports.
They age slower than the Beorc. The exact speed depends on the Laguz blood in them. There is a colony of Branded in the Grann Desert, within the country of Begnion. The Branded are called so because they bear a special mark somewhere on their body.
Lyre. This information is revealed during Lethe and Ranulf's B support.
Lethe was forced to leave her group of soldiers when ordered by the king to follow Greil's Mercenaries. She rarely talks about herself, and never does outside the support conversations.
Here is an excerpt from the Lethe/Ranulf support:
Lethe: "So...is Lyre in your unit now?"
Ranulf: "Yes, she is. She and her friend Kysha are giving me quite a hard time."
Lethe: "Kysha is big and strong. You'll have your hands full if they decide to give you trouble. Regardless, I'd still like you to show them the ropes."
Ranulf: "So you haven't seen Lyre in a long time?"
Ranulf: "I see you'd rather not discuss it. Fine, but you should still try to settle your differences. She's your only sister."
21. The Brave Sword is in the left chest in the Dain capital in Chapter 21. It's at the bottom of the screen just east of the throne room behind a locked door.
Sword and Cape. Before leaving the capital in Chapter 22, the Begnion General notices that Ike is traveling extremely light. Ike replies that he always keeps his sword with him, and that he needs his cape to keep him warm, and for food, well... something always turns up.
Regal Sword. Greil gives Mist the Regal Sword to give Ike. Mist gives Ike the sword and mentions that it's the first sword Ike has gotten that isn't a hand-me-down.
It's blessed by the goddess. Of course the Black Knight's armor is blessed by the goddess, but Ragnell is not the only weapon that can pierce it. Because the armor is blessed by the goddess, only weapons that are similar in that way can pierce it.
Beaks. The herons don't attack, of course, but the hawks and ravens use beaks. Only Naesala uses wind.
Claws. They use claws. This would make sense since nails and teeth are too cheesy. Fangs are more of a blood-thirsty type of thing.
Laguzslayer and Iron Bow. Mackoya is a paladin who carries a Laguzslayer and Iron Bow. I suggest you have one unit stand just in range of him with a 2 or 1-2 ranged weapon so he uses his bow and you still strike back. Then, have your close-range fighters swarm in and attack.
Vague Katti. Vague Katti is, in short, the best sword in the game. I don't think any of the other names are anything at all.
sword. Stefan is a level 8 sword master, so obviously it's a sword. He can be found in Chapter 15 in the top right section of the map. In order for him to appear, you must have Lethe or Mordecai stand 1 square south, and 2 squares west of the top right corner.
