Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information
laborer. This can be discovered when a class uses a teleporter, and "thanks" the engineer. The scout's nickname for the engineer is "hard hat", the sniper calls the engineer "truckie", the soldier calls him "engy", and the medic calls him "my hard hatted friend".
June 1968. Interestingly enough, the game takes place at a time when alcohol was banned in Scotland, which makes it ironic that the demoman has a bottle of alcohol. Alsom, the game takes place 2 years before the first aluminum baseball bat was made, in 1970, making it impossible for the scout to have a bat.
A map of the world. The next room over shows an entire headquarters, with a larger map of the world, and multiple computer stations. However, the player is not allowed access into the room.
B: Navy R: Maroon. The spy also wears a pinstriped suit, a ski mask, and is smoking a cigarette. The spy's weapons are a revolver, a sapping tool for enemy buildings, and a butterfly knife for backstabs and other melee combat. The spy can also cloak and become invisible, as well as disguise as any other class.
Provisions. The dispenser is one of the most useful tools in the game. It can provide, health, ammo, and a sense of security while on the run, in enemy territory, or low on health/ammo.
Radar. Gravel Pit is unique from other control point maps as it has one team attacking two different control points simultaneously. When the two points are captured, the team gains access to capture the third point.
$400,000. This is mentioned in the "Meet the Heavy" video, released by Valve as part of the "Meet the Team" videos. The heavy's minigun is by far the largest of the weapons in the game, and has one of the highest damage rates in the game.
Checkers. The sentry gun has three stages, each with increasing health and ammunition. The gun will only shoot at members of the opposing team, however, a spy can disguise as an enemy team and the sentry will not shoot it. A spy can also sap the sentry, temporarily immobilizing it and eventually, if an engineer does not take action, destroying it.
A dog tag. The scout is an "offensive" class with a scattergun (an advanced shotgun with a higher rate of fire and higher damage)a long range pistol and for melee, a baseball bat. He speaks with a Boston accent and wears a baseball cap, headphones, and a backpack. He is the fastest moving class in the game and can capture control points twice as fast as other classes.
A smiley face. The Demoman is a "defensive class", however, he is the only class not to carry a gun. He carries a grenade launcher, along with a sticky bomb launcher and a glass bottle for melee combat. He speaks with a thick Scottish accent and has an eyepatch.
24. The engineer is a "defensive class" with the ability to construct an automated sentry gun, a dispenser of health and ammunition, and a teleporter system that will transport a teammate from one point to another. However, the holding weapons for the engineer are relatively weak, with a standard shotgun, a pistol, and a wrench for melee combat. He speaks with a "Texas" accent and wears protective goggles and a hardhat.
RED Shed. Well has many unique obstacles in the map, including a pair of trains that run through the middle of the map, a water system for transportation, and a spawn system that coincides with the success of the team. The team logos that are displayed throughout the map are unique to this map, as the BLU logo has an atom and the RED has a planet.
A firesuit and a purse. The pyro is an "offensive" class with a flamethrower, a standard shotgun, and an axe for melee fighting. Setting an opponent on fire will drain their health slowly until they get healed, the fire stops, or the opponent heals himself.
Round. The Medic can heal other teammates with his medi-gun and is capable of an 'Uber-Charge', which makes both Medic and teammate invincible for 10 seconds. He is also armed with a 'dart-gun' that fires syringes and bone saw.
A roof over the central bridge. This was to deter snipers easily picking off other classes from the battlements above. '2Fort' is a capture styled map where one team must break into the enemies' base and steal an intelligence briefcase. To score they must return it to their own base.
Reliable, Excavation & Demolition. 'Red' team buildings use warm colours and building materials such as wood. Opposing team 'Blu' stands for 'Builder's League United' and is characterized by cool coloured buildings made of industrial materials such as steel and concrete.
He regains health. When unlocked, the Sandvich replaces the shotgun as the secondary weapon. It is eaten with the primary fire button, but the Heavy is unable to move while doing so, making him vulnerable.
10 kills with the K.G.B. (Killing Gloves of Boxing). The K.G.B. are an upgrade to the Heavy's fists. When a kill is made with the K.G.B., there is a short 'boost' time where the Heavy can score critical hits with the gloves or any other weapon. However, the Heavy's slow speed and slow swing time of the gloves makes it a dangerous way to score kills.
Scotland. He is described on Steam as having "A fierce temper, a fascination with all things explosive, and a terrible plan to kill the Loch Ness Monster, which cost the six year old Demoman his original set of adoptive parents. Later, back at the Crypt Grammar School for Orphans near Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands, the boy's bomb-making skills improved dramatically. His disposition and total number of intact eyeballs, however, did not." (From Steam: "Meet the Demoman")
Konspicuous Konsumption. The Sandvich has gained a 'personality' of its own during the "Team Fortress 2" development cycle. It even has its own 'Meet the Sandvich' trailer.
|According to the developer commentary, what is Valve co-founder, Gabe Newell's favourite class? ||"Team Fortress 2" (PC)
Spy. In his brief introductory statement, Newell tells us his favourite class is the Spy. The Spy's most useful weapon is his knife, which if stabbed into an enemies back kills them instantly.
American. The Soldier has a strong American accent and resembles a WWII era American soldier. "Though he wanted desperately to fight in World War 2, the Soldier was rejected from every branch of the U.S. military. Undaunted, he bought his own ticket to Europe. After arriving and finally locating Poland, the Soldier taught himself how to load and fire a variety of weapons before embarking on a Nazi killing spree for which he was awarded several medals that he designed and made himself. His rampage ended immediately upon hearing about the end of the war in 1949." (From Steam: 'Meet the Soldier').
|What default weapon occupies the second slot? ( ie. you need to press '2' in-game to bring it up)||That Quiz is a Spy! (PC)
Electro-Sapper. The Electro-Sapper is the bane of all engineers. It disables any engineer's buildings, and does damage over time to them. To be removed, it requires two swings from the engineer's wrench.
Mann. Co. Mann. Co is the Spy (and the Sniper's) supplier of weapons and gadgets. Its motto is "We sell products and get into fights". It is based in Australia and run by Saxton Hale.
Camera Beard. This was introduced in the Sniper vs Spy update, Day 4, on the order form from the Spy's supplier. The spy dismisses it, claiming that it is "ridiculous". It costs $4.12. The Fancy Fedora is a hat, while the Camera Beard is an accessory!
Dead Ringer. The Dead Ringer was the first Spy unlockable to be displayed, on Day 4 of the update, as on Day 3, the Sniper shows off his Razorback, which protects against a single backstab, with a dead Spy in the background. Obviously, the Spy has used his Dead Ringer (which fakes your death when you take damage), because on Day 4, he is holding the Dead Ringer and has backstabbed the Sniper.
|You stealthily sneak behind a building...from behind the door, you hear an enemy saying "Muabwahaw". What do you do?||That Quiz is a Spy! (PC)
RUN! It's a Pyro!. Since the pyro wears a mask, all you can hear when any voice command such as "Medic" or "Spy" are issued, all that one can hear is some strange mumbling, as the pyro's lungs are damaged by his (or her) asbestos-lined suit. Pyros are also the Spy's worst enemy because they can set cloaked or disguised spies on fire, and this allows your enemy to know that you are a spy!
It reveals cloaked or disguised spies. The Jarate is a jar full of... well... stuff made by the Sniper that is a yellow liquid stored in a jar. When thrown on an enemy, he will feel so humiliated that any damage dealt to him is amplified 35%. Is also shorts out the Spy's disguise kit and spy watch, which is a VERY bad thing indeed.
Gentlemen. This video is actually quite humorous... especially the bit where the Spy goes "That RED spy... he could be in this very room! He could be you! (points at heavy) Or you! (points at soldier) He could even be.... (about to point at his head when the soldier shoots him, think he is the RED spy in disguise)."
Instant Kill on a backstab. Proper usage of the Butterfly Knife, as it is known, is what makes or breaks a good Spy. When used on the rear end of an enemy, the spy violently stabs the opponent's back, instantly killing them. However, frontal stabs are pathetically weak and do barely any damage at all.
|The first letter of each of the previous nine correct answers will spell out the answer to this question.
Which melee weapon for the Demoman gives increased speed and health with every decapitation it deals?||9 for 10 - "Team Fortress 2"
Eyelander. The Eyelander is a unique unlockable weapon for the Demoman, and can be devastating where there are a lot of enemies in the same area. Each kill using the Eyelander results in the decapitation of the enemy, which in turn grants an increased movement speed and health for the Demoman. It's best to stay away from an Eyelander-wielding Demoman when he's on a rampage, and attack from a distance. The bonus speed and health, however, caps at four kills. Any kills after that will not increase speed and health further.
