Lawrence Taylor. It was hard to lose with LT. You could win games 14-12 because of the blocked PATs.

Los Angeles. Bo Jackson was arguably the MVP of Tecmo Bowl. The other candidates were Lawrence Taylor and Walter Payton.
Roger Craig. San Francisco was tough with Montana, Rice, and Craig.
Eleven. In the original "Tecmo Bowl", using only twenty total players on the roster, only nine players were on either side. "Tecmo Super Bowl" uses thirty players on each roster. Another interesting fact is that defensive players could not be substituted for, nor injured.
Twenty-eight. Since "Tecmo Super Bowl" was released in 1991, there were only twenty-eight teams in the game. The Tennessee Titans, Carolina Panthers, Jacksonville Jaguars, Houston Texans, and Baltimore Ravens are not in the game.
Lorenzo White. Lorenzo White was drafted by the Oilers in 1988 out of Michigan State. White rushed for 2066 yards in 1985 for the Spartans.
Steve Young. You can't go wrong with the 49ers if a good quarterback is what you are looking for. With Joe Montana as the starter, and Steve Young as the backup, San Francisco gives quite a one-two punch at QB. Both players are in the Hall of Fame.
99. There were only two digits on the scoreboard in "Tecmo Super Bowl." You can still get credit for scoring a touchdown or kicking a field goal, but it will not show up on the scoreboard once you get to 99.
