Titanic: Adventure Out of Time
Mr. Carter's Renault. After you distract the purser from his job, you grab the keys from the wall behind him (when he's gone to run an errand). When you make your way to the cargo room, the guard starts to say you're not allowed, but then sees you have the keys to the car and assumes you are a Carter. If this whole scenario is done quickly, the painting WILL be in the crate. If not, you'll get it at the end of the game.
painting. After unsuccessfully obtaining the Rubaiyat, your next job is to try and recover a painting. The painting is stored in the cargo room. Go to the purser and see what he can help you with.
boiler room 3. After using your handy-dandy device to decode the message, you find that it is in boiler room 3. In order to get in, you have to help the mechanic straighten out his engines and the steam. Hope you are saving the game frequently at this point because you never know what can happen.
Max Seidelman. As you stroll down the boat deck to get into the wireless room, you hear someone shout "C'mere". It is coming from the raised roof over the first class lounge. When you strike up a conversation with him, he takes you to the Café Parisien. There you meet Colonel Zeitel and friend Willie.
Lady Georgia Lambeth. Georgia is someone who you supposedly knew a long time ago and her marriage to her husband is faltering. She would like to discuss it with you in her cabin, B70.
gymnasium. Smethells hands you a note from a "P.P." It says to meet you by the electric camel in the gymnasium. The gymnasium is located on the boat deck starboard side. Smethells hears that the electric camel is good for the liver, but he says he wouldn't know about that.
C73. When the game starts, you are in C73 and it is 9:30 PM on April 14, 1912. You know what room you're in because Smethells, your steward, hands you a map and marks where you are. The other rooms in this list are other rooms you will visit throughout the game. As you go through the game, your watch advances time as the points rack up.
No. You'll hear a knock on the door. Even though you may think you can walk through it, your land lord blocks your path. Something about missing the rent again! Note out the window is a zeppelin flying around. After awhile, you'll hear an air raid siren going off. Your apartment explodes and you get taken back in time. The game begins!
April 15, 1942. As the apartment scene opens, you hear a radio broadcast in the background. You are in your apartment and the date that shows up at the bottom briefly is April 15, 1942. Britain is at war (WWII) and it is 30 years after the Titanic has sunk.
boat pass. When you see Zeitel again, he may be at the stern end of the Boat Deck. Give him the boat pass and he will give you the painting back. Now, hurry and see if you can get off the ship before it goes. Best time is when you see the animation of the propellers coming up out of the water.
Rubaiyat. As you enter the lounge, Miss Limehouse states that she is staying on the ship until the end. She gives you her shawl. This you trade with Vlad to get the Rubaiyat. Vlad has already shot and killed Sasha and now he needs a means to escape.
baby. Sheila Hacker is upset. Mrs. Conkling has kidnapped her child and is claiming it for her own so she can escape the ship. In order to get Sheila's baby back, Sheila gives you the letter that Mr. Conkling wanted so that you can trade the letter for the child. As greedy as Mrs. Conkling is, she accepts. Now, if you want, click on Mr. Conkling (if he is still on deck). He is in a panic and says he is an important man. As he tries to enter the lifeboat before the other men, he is shot and goes overboard off the side of the ship.
antidote for Georgia. If you already have the painting, then this will be easy. If not, as you descend into the second class stairwell, you come across Jack and Sheila Hacker. Sheila's baby has been stolen and she gives you the letter the Conkling's wanted back. After retrieving the painting, you need to give it to Zeitel. He has poisoned Georgia and says she is in Sahsha's cabin A14.
none of these. The only way to get the boat pass is to win a high stakes game of blackjack. If you lose, you lose the necklace and Buick keeps the boat pass. If you win, he gives you the boat pass. This pass will come in handy later.
1:05 AM. After Zeitel shoots you, the screen changes and you come to in your stateroom again. However, you do hear a lot of crashing, groaning, and things indicating that the ship is in danger. Go to the door when you hear the knock. Pringle alerts you that the ship is sinking and you must get the evidence off the ship before she goes down. She suggests where to look for certain things like the notebook. She believes that it may be in Zeitel's cabin C59. If you have put the painting and necklace into the purser's safe, she retrieves these for you. Hurry! You've not much time to lose. Points are no longer being taken and the time is clicking. It is best at this part to leave your watch opened so you can keep track of time and hurry to the last lifeboat which departs at 2 AM.
Colonel Zeitel. Once at the top of the funnel, you search around the top for the notebook. Once you pick it up, however, Zeitel appears and is holding a gun to you. While speaking about the Germans and how they will help the communists of Russia, the ship hits the iceberg. Wonderful graphics depict this. Zeitel is now scared and is demanding the notebook. Give him the notebook (it will be easier to get later). Zeitel tries to shoot you.
No. One way you may think you can get into the lower holds is through the cargo hold area. Whereas there is no guard watching the cargo hold door, as soon as you enter boiler room 5, the guard stops you and tells you to turn back. Now you have to come in from the turbine room. As you would've gotten in before to try and retrieve the Rubaiyat, you have to help the mechanic down below to regulate the steam to the boilers. After helping him, he allows you access into the engine room again. As you're going through the engine room, you come upon a stairway to the left of you. After climbing a couple of flights, you see that Vlad is waiting for you. He is madder than heck since you apparently keep meddling in his affairs. Once you fight him, you ascend the ladder into the fourth funnel. The ladders will then become like a maze. Good luck with getting to the top!
Willie von Hadelitz. After fencing a bit, Willie gives you a ring. When you take it to the psychic onboard and he envisions Willie getting electrocuted in the Turkish Bath. Now that he mentions it, an earlier conversation with Zeitel shows that Zeitel is upset with Willie. When you ask him if he said anything to Willie, Zeitel smugly says, "No! But he will find it most electrifying, I assure you!" When you take the ring to Claris Limehouse who is Willie's girlfriend, she can't help much at all except to tell you to find the notebook. While investigating the Turkish Bath, you find that Willie has left a clue for you. The clue leads you to the Scotland Road which is a corridor on E Deck which runs the whole length of the ship. There you have to find a coil of rope.
squash court. After you have met with Pringle about whether or not you've found the painting, you begin to wander the ship again. As you do, you see Smethells in several locations. One place you can find him is on the aft end of the boat deck on the starboard side near the second class staircase. He informs you that Willie would like to meet you in the squash court for a fencing match. He also directs you as to where it is. The squash court is on F Deck, but you have to enter it from the D Deck cabin area.
photographs. Pringle sees that there is a connection between Zeitel & Sasha Barbicon, but she's not quite sure. As luck would have it, there is a photographer onboard. You're able to get into his cabin by helping him locate his wife who is a bit upset with him. When he leaves, go into the cabin and develop the three pictures on his desk. One of them is a not-so-clear picture of Zeitel & Barbicon discussing some sort of business deal.
