ToeJam and Earl
Panic on Funkotron. This is the sequel to the original "ToeJam and Earl" game for Sega Genesis. In the first "ToeJam and Earl" game you had to find all twenty-five ship pieces. In this game you must capture all the Earthlings using Trap-o-Matic jars and send 'em back to Earth.
What was the third "Toejam and Earl" game originally going to be called? | ToeJam and Earl
|
All Funked Up. "All Funked Up" was the original title for the third "Toejam and Earl" game but some people didn't think it sounded appropriate. The name that was then picked was "Mission to Earth". Although, if you look at the ending to the game (when they're doing their rap for the Earthlings) you can see posters in the back that still say "All Funked Up."
What is the name of ToeJam and Earl's short, green friend in the second "ToeJam and Earl" game? | ToeJam and Earl
|
Peabo. Peabo has three eyes and often gets the hiccups when he gets nervous. Flarney and Lewanda are the names of two of their other friends (Flarney is the blue one with two heads who often gets in arguments with himself and Lewanda is the red female alien who is the love interest of ToeJam). I made up Farnsworth.
Who is the female alien ToeJam is attracted to in the second "Toejam and Earl" game? | ToeJam and Earl
|
Lewanda. Lewanda is the red alien that both ToeJam and Earl are attracted to. Once you beat the game, Lewanda will ask to go out with ToeJam or Earl (depending on who you are playing as). If you beat the game with both characters, Lewanda's twin cousin Sharice comes and asks to go out with Earl. Sharla and Bloona are both characters in "Panic on Funkotron" but Latisha is the main female in "Mission to Earth."
What is the real name of the Anti-Funk in "Mission to Earth"? | ToeJam and Earl
|
James. Lamont the Funkopotomas reveals that his name is James in one of his cut-scenes. Then later, the Anti-Funk keeps calling himself James and it's quite humorous. He says "You must now bow down to James.. I mean the Anti-Funk!"
Jars. In the opening movie to "Panic on Funkotron" ToeJam and Earl are revealed to be the ones who brought the Earthlings to Funkotron. ToeJam goes over the plans to Earl about what they are gonna do to get rid of the Earthlings. He says that they'll use Trap-o-Matic Jars to catch them. Certain Earthlings require you throw more Jars at them, but you can also get Super Jars which capture an Earthling in one hit.
What do you have to collect for Lamont the Funkapotumus in "Mission to Earth"? | ToeJam and Earl
|
Vinyls. The game starts out with ToeJam, Earl, and Latisha going to see Lamont. He tells them that they have to Earth to collect his twelve Sacred Albums of Funk (which the Earthlings stole). Once you get a Vinyl, you can pick from one of it's three different tracks to listen to.
They crashlanded their spaceship. They were just flying through space, and ToeJam let Earl fly. Earl crashed into Earth, forcing them to find the spaceship parts to put their ship back together and go home. They are very non-threatening aliens; they just want to be left alone to jam.
Funkotron. Funkotron is a planet where the inhabitants mostly just jam to hip-hop music. Given that the "ToeJam and Earl" soundtrack was received with high critical acclaim, it stands to reason that the residents of Funkotron are pretty good at it.
collect all ten pieces of the spaceship. The spaceship parts are the only discrete objective in the game. Other than the general requirement that the player put the spaceship back together so Toejam and Earl can go home, there are no specific tasks to carry out, no bosses, etc. The game thus has a very open structure, and players are free to wander at will.
red, three-legged, with a hat and medallion. ToeJam is the faster of the two, possibly on account of his third leg. Although he is faster, he has a smaller life bar than Earl. Earl is the brown pudgy alien, and his wraparound sunglasses are very cool.
Each level has an elevator to the next level hidden somewhere in it. Finding the elevator is all one has to do to "beat" a level. The goal of the game is to find all ten spaceship parts. Given that these are scattered randomly throughout the entire world, there is no advantage to rushing through levels. Leaving a level without exploring all of it simply means that a spaceship piece may be left undiscovered.
You fall down to the level below. There are thirty levels in "ToeJam and Earl" consisting of islands stacked on top of each other. Falling off of a level simply places the player on the level below, at which point they can journey back to the level they fell off of. The first level is an island in water, and the player can just hop back out of the water if they fall in.
throws tomatoes at them. Throwing tomatoes is the only way to actively fight back against earthlings. If a player does not have tomatoes, they will simply have to avoid earthlings.
collaborative; both can play at once and help each other. Two-player mode was highly acclaimed when "ToeJam and Earl" was released. Both players can play at the same time and need not be anywhere near each other. They can even be in completely separate levels. When players venture away from each other, the screen splits in half.
