Interesting Questions, Facts, and Information

    Trauma Center

How many strains of GUILT are created and released?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Seven. The seven strains are Kyriaki, Deftera, Triti, Tetarti, Pempti, Paraskevi, and Savato. Each type that you operate on is more diffucult to destroy than the previous one. Kyriaki is the easiest to defeat, and Savato is the hardest.

What tools do you use (in the correct order) to defeat a LARGE Kyriaki?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Ultrasound, Scalpel, Laser (repeat until defeated). Kyriaki is the easiest form of GUILT to defeat, but it's one of the most annoying forms. If you don't keep an eye on the patients' vitals, it is very easy to fail the mission. Right before large Kyriaki makes the three big lacerations (you can usually tell when this is because there won't be any Kyriaki for a while), suture all of the wounds but one, and then get vitals back up to maximum.

What is the special power that Derek possesses called?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Healing Touch . To use the "Healing Touch", go down to the bottom of the touch screen, touch the hand icon twice, and a star will appear where the hand was. After you have the star selected draw a star in the middle of the touch screen. The "Healing Touch" slows down time but you can still move at normal speed, allowing more precision and more time to save the patient.

In the mission titled "Life or Death", how many glass shards do you remove from the patient?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

13 . Start out by spreading gel on the bar in the middle. Select the hand icon, and follow the moving bar with your hand. If the bar turns blue, use more gel. Once the bar disappears, you have successfully revived the patient. Suture all of the wounds that you can. Then, you should remove the four pieces of glass on the body. Spread antibiotic gel over the remaining wounds, and then cut open the chest area. In this section of the level, you definitely need to keep an eye on vitals, because they can rapidly decrease. Remove all of the glass and spread antibiotic gel over all of the cuts. After that, a large glass shard surfaces, and you have to remove it. Suture the wound, and then a large laceration will be created on the screen. "Healing Touch" to the rescue! Suture the wound, and close him up.

What form of GUILT is killing Linda Reid?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Kyriaki. To defeat Kyriaki, use the ultrasound to reveal its shadow. Then, use the scalpel to reveal the whole thing. Laser it a couple times and it should be defeated.

How many missions pit you against Paraskevi?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Three. The first one is where you have to save Dr. Myers. This mission gets very frustrating. It took me over twenty times to finally beat this mission. The second one has you saving the sixth child in Delphi Headquarters. To defeat Paraskevi, you have to laser the tail of the worm. It will freeze after you laser it. Then you have to cut it in half with the scalpel. Keep repeating this procedure, inject vitals when neccessary, and you should use the "Healing Touch" before the fourth part of the body. Put it this way, if you have more than two or three worms make it to the fourth stage and you've already used the "Healing Touch", it will be extremely difficult to beat the mission. You lose even if one small worm makes it to the heart of Dr. Myers. The third one is in Mission X.

What type of GUILT is Angie's father infected with?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Savato. Savato is the most difficult form of GUILT to destroy. Basically, cut the web, laser the bugs, and whatever you do, don't let the web turn red. If that happens, there will be a seriously large decrease in the patients' vitals. Good luck with the two Savato missions, you'll need it!

How many "sinners" are quarantined Delphi's Headquarters?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Seven. The "sinners" are children that Delphi has kidnapped. The "sinners" are used to shelter the GUILT. Pretty much, if the GUILT is taken out of them and destroyed, then that form of GUILT no longer exists, because they were sheltering it. The last seven missions have you taking GUILT out of the seven "sinners", and erasing GUILT for good.

Which tool do you use at the end of every mission except for the puzzles?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 1

Bandage . You use the bandages right after you use the gel on the laceration you made to get rid of the blood. You don't need to use the gel, but you will get a better rating for the mission if you do use it. I hope you liked my quiz on one of the best DS games ever created! :)

What is the full name of the person the game revolves around?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

Derek Stiles. Derek started out as a small-time doctor working at Hope Hospital. Then he figured out how to defeat GUILT. More GUILT patients started to arrive at Cadaceus and Derek was asked to work at Cadaceus because he knew how to destroy GUILT. He chose to leave Hope hospital and join Cadaceus along with his assistant, Angie Thompson.

What two surgical tools would you use to revive a patient?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

Antibiotic Gel and Hands. The first mission you have to do this on is the mission where a guy gets into a car crash and has glass inside of his body. To beat the mission, just extract all of the glass and cure all of his wounds. This is also the first mission where you encounter the "Healing Touch".

What is the name of Dr. Chase's sister?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

Amy. Amy Chase was eight years old, and she was infected with GUILT. She said that she often worries about her brother, Dr. Chase, because of the pain that her disease causes him.

What is the name of Angie's father?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

Dr. Blackwell. Dr. Blackwell is responsible for the seven strains of GUILT. When she was young, Angie was kidnapped by Delphi (terrorists responsible for GUILT). Delphi told Blackwell that they would kill his daughter unless he joined them and helped them create diseases. He had to comply because he wanted to ensure the safety of his daughter. Towards the end of the story, you and Angie have to save him from the final strain of GUILT, Savado.

What are you classified as if you receive an "S" rating on a mission?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

Master Surgeon. Rookie Doctor - C Specialist - B Senior Surgeon - A The amount of points you need for an "S" rating varies on each mission.

What year is the game set in?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

2018. You can find the answer to this in the prologue in the manual. The prologue says that diseases like Cancer and AIDS are things in the past and that there is a new disease that threatens mankind which is called GUILT. GUILT stands for Gangliated Utrophin Immuno Latency Toxin.

What are the three colors of the GUILT called Tetarti?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

Green, Orange, and Purple. To defeat Tetarti, you have to inject the same color serum into each one of the three bugs, several times. If they are too fast to inject all three serums before they disappear and regenerate, use the "Healing Touch". That will slow them down quite a bit.

Who is your assistant when you have to disarm the bomb?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

Dr. Myers. There are four stages to disarming the bomb. First take the water from the right tank and put it in the left tank using the drain. Then, pull all six of the rods out the the mechanism. Then, laser the five chips that connect to the lower part of the bomb. Then, cut all of the red cords with your scalpel in fifteen seconds. If you need to, use the "Healing Touch" on the last part. It is possible to do it without the "Healing Touch", but it makes it the final part a lot easier.

What is the age difference between your two primary assistants, Mary and Angie?"Trauma Center: Under the Knife" Part 2

18 years. Your first assistant, Mary, is 39 years old. Your second assistant, Angie, is 21 years old. You can find this information the the character section of the instruction booklet.

What is the name of your first assistant?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Mary Fulton. Nurse Mary is your assistant for three operations and then she's gone. She does, however, make a small reappearance during the large-scale GUILT outbreak.

What is the name of the hospital you work at in the beginning of the game?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Hope Hospital. This is your base of operations (no pun intended) until you join Caduceus. No matter which hospital you're at, there will always be a Dr. Kasal.

It's a form of GUILT. The main tool you need to use is your forceps, but you'll occasionally have to use the drain. It expands if you isolate a part of it, or if there are two thorns next to each other when you remove a part of it. What is its name?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Triti. Sometimes when you remove a thorn, it becomes a toxic gas. You have to use the drain to remove the gas quickly, or else it's game over. Many players despise Triti because it's so hard to remove. The trick is to remove every other thorn and work the GUILT into a corner.

This strain of GUILT requires you to go through three surgeries and three puzzles before you finally defeat it. The main tools you need to use are the laser and the antibiotic gel, but you might have to use the suture if you're not fast enough. It can send out smaller agents that create lacerations and tumors, but you should focus on the core. What is this persistent GUILT?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Pempti. The battle with this GUILT can go on forever if you lose focus on your main target. However, there are times you should attack something besides the core. When it sends out pink agents, focus on them, because the lacerations they cause will do serious damage to your patient. When it sends out the large blue agents, destroy them, then take care of the tumors they create. Otherwise, laser away at that core!

"Trauma Center: Second Opinion" features a second playable character. What is her name?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Nozomi Weaver. Dr. Nozomi is a real mystery. Her past and her motives are unknown when you first meet her. To gain access to her operations, you have to complete a chapter in Dr. Stiles' story. She has five operations before she becomes part of the main story.

The person in the last question also possesses the Healing Touch. How is her Healing Touch different from that of Derek's?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Every action you perform boosts the patient's vitals. Suture a wound, damage a GUILT, extract a foreign object, everything heals your patient! As long as you're doing something useful, that is. If you take your laser and start burning your patient for no reason, their vitals will still go down. A lot of players have problems pulling off the Healing Touch in this game. Surprisingly, the majority of them blame it on the same thing: "A Sixth Line". That is to say, when they go to draw a star to activate Healing Touch, they may accidentally draw a small line in the lower-left corner. The game registers this as the first line. So when they finish the star, they have, in effect, drawn a sixth line. And since a star is only supposed to have five lines, the game dismisses it as an error! All I can say is practice it and remain calm.

Caduceus uses a certain test to locate and identify GUILT. What name is given to this test?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Chiron. This is a reference to Greek mythology. Chiron is the ferryman of the River Styx, which is the river of the dead. To cross the river, you had to pay him a gold coin, which was supposed to be buried along with you when you died. If you didn't have a gold coin, you could not cross, and you basically wandered the earth.

GUILT is created by a group of terrorists. What name does this group go by?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Delphi. Another reference to Greek mythology. Delphi was the most famous site of the Oracle of Apollo. People would come here from all over the known world to ask about their future, or a solution to a dilemma. The Oracle would reply in a cryptic manner. If it was a warning, the fate could be avoided. If it was a statement, no action could prevent it from happening.

This GUILT strain has two different types, and is usually a two-part operation. The main tool you need to use is the drain, but you'll occasionally have to use the laser. When the two opposing types come together, that's your chance to drain them. Once you've drained it enough, you have to excise it, remove it, and put a synthetic membrane in its place. What is this mobile tumor?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Deftera. You have to be careful, though. If two Deftera of the same type come together, they create tumors in the patient. Laser them before you carry on. Also, if you excise a pair of Deftera but don't remove them, a lot of tumors start forming rapidly. This will quickly destroy your patient, so quick removal is necessary.

Your patient is Linda Reid. What are you up against?Trauma Center: Second Opinion

Lacerations. You operate on Linda twice. In the first operation, "Just Let Me Die", you simply suture up some small lacerations and close up some big ones. In the second operation, "Please Let Me Live", you do the same thing, and then you have your first encounter with Kyriaki.

In 'Fallen Heroes', in what order do you face the different GUILTs?Trauma Center

Triti, Kyriaki, Deftera, Paraskevi. 'Fallen Heroes' is a usually hard level for most players. It's like the operation 'Under the Knife' but with two doctors, two HTs and only four patients.

In how many operations do you use anti-imflammatory?Trauma Center

Three. You always use it in a 'Farewell' and 'A Real Doctor'. In 'Caduseus on a Plane', if the plane vibrates while plueral fluid is on the lungs it will create inflammations.

In 'Sayonara', what does the Delphi member say to you if you kill a blue GUILT body?Trauma Center

Hey, you feeling all right?. 'Sayonara' is a mission where you're pitted against Kyriaki...and Savato. Savato makes the mission difficult because it lowers max vitals to around 36.
