World of Warcraft - Class Specific
Pyroblast. The Pyroblast is the most powerful spell in the mage's arsenal. At level 70 it packs 1039 - 1291 damage and also does a good amount of damage over time. Also, along with Fireball, it has the longest range, but it's a slow six second cast. You need to spend 11 points in fire talents to get this spell. Fireball has a 3.5 seconds cast time and Frostbolt has three seconds. Evocation has a cast time of eight seconds, but it's not a damage spell.
One-handed Maces. Mages can use one-handed swords, daggers, wands and staves. Since the mage is not made for melee combat, a staff would be the best choice because they usually have spell enhancements on them.
What type of elemental can the mage summon by reaching the last talent in ice talents? | A Quiz About Mages
|
Water elemental. The water elemental is quite useful. It grows in power with the mage. It has two spells: Water Bolt, which is a magical ranged attack, and a Frost Nova, similar to the mage's Frost Nova, only it's a ground target area-of-effect spell, the mage's one being a point-blank area of effect spell. Fire and earth elementals can be summoned by shamans. There are no such things as ice elementals.
Curse. Mages have the spell Remove Lesser Curse, which removes one curse effect from a friendly target. Is the only type of effect that they can remove.
Three. They are Frost Armor (later replaced by Ice Armor), Mage Armor and Molten Armor. Frost Armor increases your armor and enemies that hit you in melee have their movement and attack speed slowed. Mage Armor increases all your elemental resistances and your mana regeneration while casting. Molten Armor which increases your chance to critically hit, reduced the chance you are critically hit and does damage to melee attackers.
Fireball. Fireball is the first fire spell and damaging spell that Mages get. Fire Blast comes in after gaining a few levels, Scorch is a fairly high level fire spell, and Firebolt does not exist.
Level 80. Mirror Image is a spell that Mages receive at level 80 that allows them to make to conjure three images that are identical in appearance to the caster that will follow the caster around and cast Frostbolt and Fireblast at enemies, as well as Polymorph if there are multiple enemies. The mirror images do relatively low damage individually, but their combined damage is about equal to your own.
Which Mage specialization branch grants Mages the ability to summon a Water Elemental to fight at their side? | "World of Warcraft": Mages
|
Frost. Frost is the branch of specialization that allows Mages to summon a water elemental for 45 seconds, or 1 minute if it is used in addition with the "Improves Water Elemental" talent. Demonology is a Warlock branch.
Molten Armor. Molten Armor also reduces your chance of being critically hit by spells and causes damage to your opponents every time they strike you. It is received at level 62.
Polymorph. With the help of certain Glyphs, the Polymorph spell can turn enemies into many things other than sheep (such as penguins). Enemies under the Polymorph effect undergo extremely increased regeneration.
Frostbolt. Frostbolt is the first offensive spell a Mage gets that has a slowing effect. Frost Armor is the first spell a Mage gets that has a slowing effect at all, but it is not offensive, and it requires the Mage to be struck with a melee attack before the attacker can be slowed.
Evocation. Evocation can also allow Mages to regenerate 60% of their health too if they have the glyph of evocation. It is a channeled spell, and restores over the course of 8 seconds.
Arcane. There is no "Counter" branch of magic. "Counter Spell" interrupts the enemies spell cast and also stops them from casting any spell in that particular branch of magic for 8 seconds.
Mages are often praised for their ability to conjure food and water that can be used by other players. At what level do mages get the spell Ritual of Refreshment (Rank 1), allowing them (with the help of two other people) to summon a table that can distribute refreshments to Party and Raid members? | "World of Warcraft": Mages
|
70. This spell is learned at level 70, and allows much easier distribution of food and water in the form of mana biscuits. The hint says there is a rank 2 to let you know that the answer could not have been 80, because 80 is the level cap. If you got rank 1 at level 80 you would have no more levels with which to get rank 2.
4. You also learn one of your key abilities at level 4, charge. Rend used to be pretty terrible move, but now it is a key ability for raiding arms warriors.
10. You can bump that up to 25 with 3 points put into tactical mastery in the arms tree. Tactical mastery is a key talent for many warriors as stance dancing (changing stances on the spot to use key abilities at the right time) is heavily used in player versus player combat.
In "Wrath of the Lich King", what tree is deathwish (increases you physical damage by 20% but increases all damage you take by 5%) in? | "World of Warcraft" Warriors
|
Fury. It was once in arms in "Burning Crusade", but they switched it to fury in "Wrath of the Lich King". Deathwish is similar to the berserking buff in Battlegrounds which also increases damage you take and deal.
Plate armor. You get your first mount at level 30, defensive stance at level 10, and well you can use a shield as early as level 1. Other classes that get armor upgrades at level 40 are shamans, hunters, and paladins.
Wand. Wands are limited to mages, priests, and warlocks. Wands are great for damage when you are out of mana.
Heroic throw. Heroic throw has a 30 yard range and if used right it can silence your target for 3 seconds. It is a very useful pulling move for protection warriors as it causes additional threat.
When the enemy has less than 20% health. Execute will eat up all your rage unless you use Glyph of Execute, in which you retain 10 rage after you Execute. With talent points put into sudden death, you have a chance to use Execute after hitting a enemy target.
548. Battle Shout can be increased by 25% with 5 points into commanding presence in the fury tree. Battle Shout grants the same amount of attack power as paladins' Blessing of Might.
