Lincoln, Abraham
November 4, 1842. Abraham and Mary were married Nov 4, 1842 in the parlor of her sister Elizabeth Edwards.
The Globe Tavern- a boarding house. They spent the first year of their marriage at the Globe and their first child Robert was born there.
Lexington, KY. Mary was the 4th child of Robert S Todd and Eliza Parker Todd. Her family were among the founders of Lexington.

Elmer Elsworth. Col. Elsworth was a law student in Lincoln's Springfield office. When the war started he formed a regiment of Zouaves. Lincoln was very moved by his death, and held his funeral in the East Room of the White House.

Peterson House. He was carried across the street from Ford's Theater to the boarding house, because it was feared he could not survive being transported to the White House.
Black Hawk War. In 1832, the Sauk and fox Indians repudiated their treaty with the U.S. and attempted to reclaim land in Illinois. Lincoln was out of work, so he joined the militia.
April 14, 1865. At about 10:13 PM on the 14th, he was shot. He died the next morning at about 7:22 AM.
