What does Eddy say to Saffron to explain the heaps of empty booze bottles?

"Boy, old Pats can put it away!". Eddy has told Saffy that she's quit drinking...

"I'm chanting as we speak, ____________."

"Bye-bye darling.". I have the sound clip on my computer at work. Whenever I get an e-mail, we all hear "I'm chanting as we speak, bye-bye darling." Eddy often refers to the fact that she is a Buddhist, and will start chanting spontaneously.

Colonic irrigation. I've tried it actually. It's nice. Eddy demands if Saffy would like to have "some boring old toilet-goer" as a mother, when Saffy tells her to go to the toilet.

"Well, it IS nearly lunchtime!" This is Patsy trying to get Eddy to go for lunch. What time is it really?

10:30 AM. For the rest of the series, Patsy always says she hasn't eaten anything since the 70s. This is the only time I can think of (and later in the episode) that she actively wants to eat.

There will be free champagne. Joan appeared as The Siren in the old 1960s "Batman" TV show. She did not, however, appear in any episodes of "Absolutely Fabulous".

Red wine. Later in the episode, she is drinking whiskey with Patsy. I think that is one of the few times she doesn't drink wine, gin, or champagne.

See a new exhibit of test tubes at the science museum. Sometimes I tell people I am off to see a new exhibit of test tubes at the science museum. This is the first reference we have to what Saffy is studying at University, namely biology.

What does the whole fashion show have to be choreographed to?

Rap and avant-garde Japanese pipe music. I also love Saffy's line about how the Gulf War was done with less fuss, and how no one has a nervous breakdown and needed to be sent flowers. Elton John appears in Season 5, in that same season Eddy ruins an un-released Beatles recording.

After the fashion show, who does Patsy say has done their best?

Betty Boo and Danni Minogue. Bubble: "We have found a replacement." Eddy: "Who?" Bubble: "Betty Boo."

Six. I love the little hand gesture Eddy does when she says this. Whenever anyone asks me to borrow anything, I put on a British accent and say "As long as it's back by six" and make the hand gesture. No one gets it but me.

"Sixteen years.". The actress looks older than 16, but not by much. This was also the thinnest we see her.

What does Patsy want Eddy to do (in the scene where they are in her office after the party, drunk and stoned)?

Go on holiday and get rid of Saffron. Patsy and Eddy do go on holiday in future episodes - France, Morocco, NYC....

What does Eddy mention that makes her start to sob uncontrollably?

Her family. Why didn't things work out with Justin? They really had something....

In both the flashback sequence and the end of the episode, Eddy falls out of the car because she is leaning against the door and someone opens it from the outside.
