    The Chamber of Secrets. Dobby first appears in Harry's house at the beginning of "The Chamber of Secrets". He keeps punishing himself for escaping from the Malfoys. He keeps trying to keep Harry from returning to Hogwarts; some of his preventions nearly kill Harry.

What is the thing that Dobby wears made out of?
    A pillowcase. Dobby wears a grubby pillowcase. When Dobby starts working at Hogwarts he starts wearing a variety of sweaters, socks, and shorts.
