    1801 feet. According to the 2007 World Almanac, High Point stands 1801 feet above sea level. High Point is considered part of the Appalachian Highlands.

    Verrazano-Narrows Bridge. The Verrazano-Narrows Bridge connects Staten Island with the Borough of Brooklyn. It also happens to be the starting point of the New York City Marathon.
