What about T'ai-Pei? Or Taipei as some spell it.

    Yangon. In 1989 Burma became Myanmar and Rangoon was given the name Yangon.

    Philippines. Andaman Islands belong to India and there is no Mount Pinatubo there.

    Al - Mawsil. Al-Mawsil = Mosul in Iraq. Diyarbakir is in a mainly Kurdish area but within Turkey. Bergama derives from the antique town of Pergamon where parchment was the local speciality. Antalya is famous for its beach.

    Turkmenistan.
