Sergeant Duffy's first question to Bette is direct and self-evaluating. Does Bette think that she's arrogant? What does Bette respond?

    T. Duffy asks Bette about her relationship, which she told her during the interrogation she didn't think it was perfect. Bette goes on to tell Duffy she doesn't think 'there is any such thing as a perfect relationship'.

    Someone you can hold on through difficulties. Bette doesn't believe in perfect relationships, but believes you can find the person who tolerates you the best, who may move you to reach beyond yourself sometimes and who can see you more truly than anyone has ever seen you.

According to Bette, if someone you're in a relationship with fails to see you, what should you remind yourself not to expect?
    Perfection. Bette believes that when the person you're with fails to see you, you should take a deep breath and remind yourself not to expect perfection.

Does Bette imply Tina has ever failed her?
    Y. Bette implies to Sergeant Duffy that Tina has failed her. Duffy specifically asks her: 'How did she fail you, Bette?', a question Bette silently acquiesces to and takes a while to ponder and respond.

Is the subject of Jenny Schecter brought into the table by Sergeant Duffy during this interrogation tape?
    N. Bette and Sergeant Duffy do not discuss Jenny during the interrogation tape. During 6.08: 'Last Word' however, Bette is shown visibly upset while describing Jenny's personality with the same adjectives twice during her interrogation.

According to Bette, what aspect of her relationship is she most upset about with Tina?
    She never asked her if she wanted to be the birth mother of their second child. Bette is hurt that it never even occurred to Tina to ask her 'whether she might have wanted to conceive and give birth' to their second child.

Of the following topics, which didn't Sergeant Duffy question Bette about in this interrogation?
    About her tendency to cheat. Bette was asked by Duffy to tell her whether she thought she was arrogant, which is related to her personality. She also asked her how had her partner failed her, which was related to flaws in her relationship, which was also discussed when Bette didn't define her relationship as being perfect. Duffy however never asked Bette anything about her tendency to cheat on her lovers, which has been a recurring topic in 'the L word'.
