The Western Horse was the first Breyer and was made for the Mastercrafter Clock Company. The models were presented on mantle clocks.

The Connoisseur series of models can only be had if you are a member/subscriber of JAH AND only if you are one of 350 drawn. After all of that, then you are allowed to buy it. Connoisseurs are VERY sought after and usually always sell second hand for double or more what was paid for them.

Breyerfest has taken place at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, Kentucky since 1990. Breyer hosts this 3-day model horse festival and horse fair. It consists of a swap meet, meeting of real horses that have become models, workshops, seminars, equestrian demonstrations, activities, trade fair, an artisans' gallery, and much more!

Breyer has never made mechanical horses. They did make some music box models that had mechanical parts for the musical box part of it, but that's it. They hadn't made horses that mechanically move.

Breyer, using the John Henry & Man O War molds, made models of Seabiscuit & War Admiral.
