The North American Versatile Hunting Dog Association holds hunt tests for Versatile Hunting dogs, as does the AKC. There are only six breeds of dog recognized by the AKC who are VH: the Brittany, the German Shorthaired Pointer, the German Wirehaired Pointer, the Vizsla, the Weimaraner, and the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon.
