What is the abbreviation for the constellation Ara?

    Ara. You had to get this one right! Ara, the Altar, was once part of the constellations of Centaurus and Lupus. For such a small constellation, it has quite a few nice clusters.

What is the abbreviation for the constellation Auriga?
    Aur. Auriga, the Charioteer, contains the bright star Capella, which is the brightest star to the celestial north pole. Three interesting open clusters, M36, M37 and M38 are contained in this constellation.

What is the abbreviation for the constellation Canis Minor?
    CMi. Canis Minor, the Little Dog, contains the bright star, Procyon. Procyon is one of the stars that make up the winter triangle, Betelgeuse and Sirius are the other two stars of the winter triangle.

    Psc. Pisces, the Fish, is another ecliptic constellation. This constellation has been known since ancient times. There are no bright stars and only one Messier object, M74 a spiral galaxy within its borders.
