Who is the aid to the Cooper's expedition to the Dragon's Throat?

Gozan. Gozan is a desert rat who loves treasure and rewards. He tried to get Dr. Cooper and his son to take the "treasure of Nimrod" for themselves.

In the Dragon's Throat, the Coopers spotted a skeleton. According to the insignia, what party was that poor fellow from?

Swiss Expedition. Gozan was the one who spotted the skeleton. Dr. Cooper finally got him to calm down, and he told them of the Swiss insignia. Gozan said that five of them went down into the Dragon's Throat, and only four came back. They had found the one that didn't make it out.

Who was NOT one of Dr. Cooper's assistants at the Door in the Dragon's Throat?

Steve. The three of them were the ones who liked the explosives and heavy machinery. They were all believers in Jesus.

How old are Jay and Lila respectively?

14 and 13. Jay is the older of the two, and loves working with the equipment that he has. Lila is the nurse of the family, after Dr. Cooper's wife was killed in an archeological accident in Egypt a few years earlier.

How many times were explosives used on the Door?

2. Once was when Bill got rid of the pile of rocks at the base of the Door. The second time was when he tried to open the Door itself. He had explosives packed in every crack in the Door's surface. All that did was blast the Door clean of any dirt. It also allowed the group to see the keyhole.

What did Dr. Cooper shoot with his gun?

King Cobra. The Cooper kids had gone around the entrance to the Dragon's Throat and disturbed a King Cobra. It cornered them, and Jay told his dad that he and Lila were trapped over the walkie-talkie. Dr. Cooper ran to their aid as he shot the Cobra's head off with one shot.

What was the president watching when Dr. Cooper came in and told him his kids were missing?

Soccer Game. At the very beginning of chapter 5, it said that the president was watching a soccer game on his big screen TV. He was then startled when Dr. Cooper rushed in and told him his kids were missing.

Who had the key to the Door?

The Sha-man of the Desert. The Sha-man of the Desert had abducted Jay and Lila because he wanted them to show him how to become a Christian. After that happened, he showed them the key to the Door.

What was actually behind the mysterious Door?

Demons. The Coopers had read the inscription on the Door wrong. It didn't say "the star that 'flew' from heaven," it said "the star that 'fell' from heaven." "The star that fell from heaven will bring the key, and all will be released." That was refering to Satan releasing his demons onto the earth as a judgement from God after the Rapture.

Who shut the Door after it was opened?

Jay. The Door had been opened by the president who had stolen the key to the Door. It opened one millimeter at a time however, and Jay was able to turn the lock the other way to close the Door again.
