Fun Trivia: S : Star Trek: The Next Generation

Special Sub-Topic: Enterprise Extra: Read All About It!

"Captain Picard Found in Bed with Man!" Who was the man?

    Q. Captain Picard was seen in bed with Q twice in the series: once in "Tapestry", where Q replaced Marta Batanides, and also in "Qpid", where he replaced Vash.

"Commander Riker Murders Self!" In which episode?
Up the Long Ladder. Of course it was actually a clone of himself- where would the Enterprise be without its First Officer? The clone of Commander Riker was made by the Mariposans, who were looking to add new genetic material to their clones-only society.

"Starfleet Engineer Really Arachnid!" In which episode?
Genesis. Lieutenant Barclay de-evolved into an arachnid, while Worf turned into a dinosaur who was in love with the amphibian Counselor Troi. Now THAT'S a tabloid headline!

"Betazoid Resurrected from Dead!" In which episode?
Man of the People. Counselor Troi was allowed to die by Doctor Crusher so that she could rescue Deanna from Ambassador Alkar, who had been using her as a receptacle for his negative emotions. However, Worf was brought back from the dead twice: in "Ethics", where his Klingon physiology kicked in after he died during surgery; and in Transfigurations, where he is killed in an accident. He may also have died in "Hide and Q" after being stabbed by one of Q's "animal things", but he is never actually declared dead in that episode, and is quickly resurrected by Commander Riker.

"Starfleet Officer Marries Hologram!" In which episode?
Future Imperfect. Commander Riker found himself married to Minuet, the hologram designed for him by the Bynars, in the "future" created for him by a lonely alien named Barash.

"Ensign: 'My Girlfriend was a Monster!'" Who was the girlfriend?
Salia. In the episode "The Dauphin", Wesley discovered that the girl he was crushing on was actually a shape-changer called an allasomorph when she turned into a large furry monster-like creature.

"Terrorist, Doctor Hook Up!" Who was the terrorist?
Finn. Finn showed his affection for Doctor Crusher by kidnapping her and then filling a sketchbook with drawings of her in this episode, "The High Ground".

"Murdered Starfleet Lieutenant Transformed into Deadly Dog!" Who was the unfortunate officer?
Lt. Keith Rocha. The deadly dog was actually a coalescent creature, which consumed Lt. Rocha and the dog Maura in the episode "Aquiel".

"Klingon Emperor Really Clone!" In which episode was this revealed?
Rightful Heir. The second coming of the Klingon hero Kahless turned out to be the growth of a clone of Kahless, created by religious authorities.

"Bomb-Carrying Assassins Aboard Enterprise!" What race were these assassins?
Antideans. The Antidean delegates were exposed as assassins by the ever-watchful Lwaxana Troi, who for once was able to turn her attention to something other than her pursuit of Captain Picard (and Commander Riker, and Rex the hologram, and any other nearby male) in the episode "Manhunt".

"Energy Being Impersonates Dead Woman!" In which episode?
The Bonding. Lt. Marla Aster was impersonated by an energy being who felt guilty for her untimely death and the orphaning of her twelve-year-old son Jeremy.

"Vengeful Killing of Lover's Murderer!" Who was the deceased lover involved in this situation?
K'Ehleyr. In "Reunion", Worf killed Duras after he found K'Ehleyr dying in her quarters. Surprising how easy it is to get away with murder in the Federation.

"Naked Women Kidnapped by Ferengi!" In which episode did this occur?
Menage a Troi. Lwaxana and Deanna Troi were clothed when they were kidnapped, but since their kindly Ferengi captors are opposed to "forcing" women to wear clothing, their dresses were removed by the transporter.

"Possessed Android Steals Ship!" In which episode?
Brothers. Data's creator, Dr. Noonien Soong, had activated a special homing device to bring Data back to him. Data also stole a shuttlecraft while "under the influence" of Lore's emotion chip in the episode "Descent".

"Enterprise Crew Outsmarted by Rogue Criminal!" Who was the criminal?
Roga Danar. Also appearing in this episode, "The Hunted", was James Cromwell, who would go on to play Zefram Cochrane in the movie "First Contact".
