Fun Trivia: F : F-Zero

Special Sub-Topic: "F-Zero GX" Track Spectator

This track closely resembles 'Mute City - Figure Eight' from "F-Zero X" on the N64. Which track is it?

Mute City - Twist Road. The only difference between those two tracks is that 'Twist Road' has a (shock horror!) single twist at the end of the lap. Bit of an interesting thing to note, especially if you look at the layout before you select the track as they both have a loop and they both have the "Figure Eight" design.

This one has steps in the air with some sharp turns at the beginning of the lap. What is this track?
Aeropolis - Dragon Slope. A pretty fun track thanks to the airborne platforms and the sharp turns make for some nifty boost-sliding...if you can pull it off. Of course the steps make for a lot of entertainment, especially since if you miss one, as you end up in a near vertical nose dive.

Which is the first track with the dreaded S-Turns?
Big Blue - Drift Highway. This track can be a VERY annoying track to get a good lead in the harder GP difficulties. This, of course, is true unless you're able to drift without being rammed by the other racers.

Speed kills on these bumps! Which track does this apply to?
Fire Field - Undulation. There are two areas where there are tiny bumps that little those parts, boost at your own risk! These can and will send you over the guard rail and into the lava.

Which story track has you traveling through the Big Blue region at night?
Chapter 4. There is one thing in the game that gives it away: the area below the road is a massive ocean, just like Big Blue... which isn't easy to notice. Another thing that gives it away isn't showing in the game... it's on the OST: the theme for Chapter 4 happens to be "Night of Big Blue".

There is a massive, black chasm under the right angle turns. Which track is it?
Big Blue - Ordeal. After you take one last, giant jump on this wicked track, you'll see nothing but a black gap below the sharp turns. If you boost really fast you can skip one of the turns and quickly slide to take the other.

What region is Chapter 2 in?
Red Canyon. This is the ONLY track that is in Red Canyon... so there's no multiplayer track for it. You have to race Samurai Goroh and beat him while boulders crash down and block you off. The annoying thing is that he has unlimited boost power/shield power.

You can fly off the track in Casino Palace - Split Oval.
True. This made it a REAL pain to beat the Time Trial record since there is a hill that you climb near the end of the lap. You WILL fly off of it if you go too fast.

There are a few networks of small pipes that interfere on which track?
Port Town - Long Pipe. Boost through these and if you hit one of these pipes... you'll take heavy damage and lose nearly all your speed. Thankfully there's a Pit Lane closeby though if you hit a small pipe, but you'll have a few problems catching up... or keeping the lead.

No boosts and no opponent are present but you still need to be careful in which track?
Chapter 9. Chapter 9 or "The Finale", has NO guard rails and NO boosters and your opponent can't affect you in anyway (since it's a ghost and it doesn't count as an actual opponent). This ghost is very good, especially because if you make one slip up, you lose... only to be expected for the last Chapter eh?
