The Silver Sword. By Ian Serraillier and very sad...I cried!

'Once upon a time there was a little chimney-sweep, and his name was Tom'.

'The Mole had been working very hard all the morning, spring-cleaning his little home'.
The Wind In The Willows & Wind In The Willows & Wind in the Willows. By Kenneth Grahame. He was Scottish you know.

'Last night I dreamt I went to Manderley again'.
Rebecca. Such a famous beginning....by the way, the house across the road from me is also called Manderley, but it can't be the real Manderley - can it?

'Christmas won't be Christmas without any presents'.
Little Women. Written by Louisa May Alcott and supposedly based on the experiences of herself and her sisters during the American Civil War.

'There was no possibility of taking a walk that day'.
Jane Eyre. Charlotte Bronte's famous novel about the governess Jane Eyre. Charlotte, and her sisters Anne and Emily, all wrote novels under the names of Currer, Acton and Ellis Bell. Just thought you'd like to know that.
