    Batman Begins. Christopher Nolan also directed this film which focused on Bruce Wayne's earlier years, from the time he fell into a well and was attacked by bats, to watching his parents being killed, to his quest for revenge, to his eventual destiny as the superhero Batman.

Michael Caine played Nigel Bigelow in this 2005 film, where Will Ferrel starred as actor Jack Wyatt, an actor trying to get his career back on track by making a remake of a once popular tv show.
    Bewitched. Directed by Nora Ephron, this movie was inspired by the classic television series of the same name. It was not, however, an adaptation of the series which starred the late Elizabeth Montgomery. In the film, Nicole Kidman was the witch/actress Isabel Bigelow, who was hired by Will Ferrel's character to play the role of the witch Samantha.

Will Ferrell portrayed an orphan named Buddy, who was adopted and raised by Bob Newhart in this 2003 comedy. According to Bob Newhart's character, the creatures he headed had only three jobs available to them - to make shoes, bake cookies in trees and build toys.
    Elf. Jon Favreau directed this funny flick where Bob Newhart played the "Papa Elf", who raised the human baby Buddy after he had crawled into Santa's sack and was brought back to the North pole by mistake. Buddy eventually figured that he was not like the creatures he grew up with and left to search for his birth father. It also starred Ed Asner and James Caan.

    Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde. This 2003 MGM film directed by Charles Herman-Wurmfeld was the sequel to Legally Blonde where Elle Woods (portrayed by Reese Witherspoon) entered law school. In the sequel, the young lawyer Elle left her firm to join a fight to stop animal testing.

Sally Field, as Mama Lil, portrayed the estranged mother of teenager mom Novalee Nation, played by Natalie Portman. Abandoned by her boyfriend, Novalee secretly set up house in a Wal-Mart store. After giving birth there, she gained media attention which led her mother back to her, only to be abandoned again.
    Where the Heart Is. This Matt Williams-directed movie was about a teenage girl who gave birth in a Wal-Mart store and raised her baby with the help of strangers, who eventually became her friends. With their help, she was able to rebuild her life. Ashley Judd and Stockard Channing also starred.

Natalie Portman and Giovanni Ribisi were part of a big cast, as Sara and Junior in this 2003 movie that had the American Civil War as its setting.
    Cold Mountain. Anthony Mingella directed this adaptation of Charles Frazier's book of the same title. The movie, which was about the perilous journey of a wounded confederate soldier on his journey back home, earned critical acclaim for its stars Jude Law, Nicole Kidman and Renee Zellweger, who won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a SAG for her role.

When a plane crashed in the Mongolian desert, the only hope of the survivors was to build a new one from the parts of the wreckage. Giovanni Ribisi played Elliot, who claimed to be an aircarft designer and Dennis Quaid was the captain, Frank Towns, in this remake of a 1965 movie.
    The Flight of the Phoenix. Robert Aldrich directed and produced this 2004 remake which was also an adaptation of an Elleston Trevor novel. The movie was a testimony to the triumph of the human spirit, as the group of survivors struggled through harsh conditions, dwindling resources and desert rogues. Despite differences in personalities, the group was able to pull it off, built a plane out of the wreckage parts and actually got it to fly them to safety.

Dennis Quaid (as Dan Foreman), a middle-aged ad executive found himself with a new boss who was not only half his age but who also turned out to be dating his daughter, portrayed by Scarlett Johannson. What movie was this?
    In Good Company. This 2004 movie, which also starred Topher Grace, was directed by Paul Weitz.

Scarlett Johannson portrayed Olivia Wenscombe, the assistant of Hugh Jackman's character in this movie about a rivalry that led to deceipt, betrayal, power struggle and even murder.
