[Book 1] After being sucked into the book, who is the first person Takiko meets?

Female Uruki. Takiko lands on a snow covered mountain and after walking for a little bit, comes upon a female chained to a rock. Uruki tells Takiko to get out of there, and moments later demons pop up from behind her. She arms herself with a stick, but Uruki uses his wind powers to save them both.

[Book 1] Who is the bounty hunter who is after Limdo/Rimudo?

Tomite. After Uruki passes out after slaying the demons, Takiko carries him to a nearby town where he already has a room reserved. The next morning when they are leaving, he accidentally comes out as a guy and Tomite spots him.

[Book 2] Whose arm does Uruki sever?

Feiyan. Takiko is attacked by Ziyi and Feiyan. Ziyi has the priestess captured and Feiyan is just about to attack Tomite when there are suddenly strong slashes of wind as Uruki comes to the rescue. In his approach, Feiyan's arm gets sliced off and this sets in motion his intense revenge to kill that "wind woman," who is actually "Taki," his comrade also sent to kill the priestess and her warriors.

[Book 2] Limdo's powers first emerged after the death of whom?

Tawur. Soren tells Takiko the story of Limdo and how his father was after his life after a prophecy was told. He was given to Tawur and his son, Soren, to care for. In a battle, Tawur is killed and out of anger and despair, Uruki emerges and kills everyone with his power.

[Book 3] When Takiko first meets Namame, he is protecting the oracle, Lady _____.

Anlu & Anru. Namame, a creature made of rock, was always shunned by others, until Lady Anlu came along and accepted him for who he was. When Lady Anlu is pierced with a spear, Namame goes mad with rage and Takiko must find a way to calm him down.

[Book 3] What does Hagus/Haagasu declare as his mission?

To kill Uruki. Uruki returns to the Qu-Dong camp and sees Hagus there. He says he comes as a messenger from Bei-Jia. He hands over the covenant which allows them to join together to hunt down the priestess and her warriors. Hagus turns to leave. When asked where he's going, he says "To kill Uruki. That is my mission."

[Book 4] A little boy has been appearing before Takiko several times throughout the series at various intervals. In this book he saves our heroes from a fight with Hagus/Haagasu, Feiyan/Hien, and Ziyi/Shigi by whisking them away on a dragon. Uruki informs us that he is a wizard who lives on Mt. Daichi/Mt. Taikyoku in the center of the world. What is the name of this little boy?

Tai Yi-Jun/Taitsukun. Tai Yi-Jun is believed to be the god of heaven himself, and commands a great dragon of earth, Teńg-shé, although Hagus and the villagers know the dragon as Huang-Long. Tai Yi-Jun knows from the beginning that Takiko is the Priestess of Genbu and first appears to her after she meets Uruki.

[Book 4] Hikitsu's right eye is constantly bandaged. One of his celestial powers is that eye and what it can do. What is the name of his right eye?

Over-Seeing Mirror Eye. Hikitsu unveils his eye to Tomite so he can see the truth of what happened when they were children in the fight with the Maw - the fight that has kept Ayla frozen in a block of ice for seven years. After Tomite realizes the truth of what happened during the fight, he realized that it was actually him that froze Ayla and he finds the power to unfreeze the ice. But in doing so he also unfreezes the Maw that were frozen in with Ayla. During the fight, the bandage around Hikitsu's eye is cut and Takiko accidentally catches a glimpse of his eye and is sent back home.

[Book 5] Takiko is returned to the real world and almost immediately runs into Mr. Ohsugi. He asks "Where have you been for the past _____?" How much time has passed in the real world while she has been in the book?

One hour. She is quite shocked to hear that it has only been an hour since she left, since she was in the book for several days. However, a few good things happen because of her return. 1) Since she has now found Uruki, she is able to tell Mr. Ohsugi that she is fine, despite his worries for having had rejected her. 2) Takiko finds out that her father has been reading the book, following her every move. She finds out that the reason her father tracked down the original "Universe of the Four Gods" and translated it was because he wanted to be able to grant a wish and save his wife. Since time passes differently in the book then in the real world, Takiko thinks she still may be able to make it in time to save her mother. 3) But the most important reason Takiko realizes for herself. "I think I went home to learn my true feelings. To realize... that I love this man" - referring to Uruki.

[Book 5] Where must our group travel to to find Inami?

Hong-Nan (Konan). Hong-Nan you may know better as Konan, the land of Suzaku. The necklace Lady Anlu gave Takiko points in the direction of the nearest warrior. It points over the ocean and to the land of Hong-Nan. Hong Nan/Konan = Suzaku Qu-Dong/Kutou = Seiryu Xi-Lang/Sairo = Byakko Bei-Jia/Hokkan = Genbu

[Book 6] Who sets fire to the brothel?

Lude. Lude is from Bei-Jia and wants more than anything to go back home to her family. She knows she will never get out of the life she has been living because she needs the money to survive, but despite all that, she sets the brothel on fire and says "once this place is destroyed I can go back to my family!"

[Book 6] What is the name of Hagus's twin?

Teg & Tegu. Takiko finds out that Hagus is the final warrior, but he only has half of the character between his eyes. His twin brother has the other half, but is being held captive in Tèwulán. Takiko agrees to go and rescue Teg for Hagus because they need both of them to summon Genbu.

[Book 8] What is the only part left of Soren?

His sword. Hagus gives Uruki Soren's sword as a "memento." He clutches that sword to his chest like it's the last thing left of the world and doesn't let go until Filka needs it to perform a ceremony to release Soren's soul. After the ceremony is complete is when Uruki can finally go on living.

[Book 8] Takiko decides to camp outside of the Odo clan on the edge of the forest to wait for whom?

Hagus/Haggasu. Hagus, Ziyi, and Feiyan come to attack the warriors, but the forest, protected by Tai Yi-Jun, won't let them near. But since Hagus was part of the clan and had no evil intentions, the forest would have let him in. He retreats however, but Takiko tells him she'll wait for him right where she was standing, and she does. She camps out on the edge of the forest and doesn't give up until Hagus returns to talk to her.

[Book 8] Takiko returns to her world at the end of the book because all the warriors, including Uruki, are claiming that they no longer need her.

t. Tai Yi-Jun comes to Uruki and tells him the "unavoidable destiny" of the priestess. We don't hear exactly what it is, but you can guess if you've seen "Fushigi Yugi". Uruki tells the other warriors what Tai Yi-Jun told him, and they all take on a similar attitude: for Takiko to stay out. Uruki is the one that tells her to go home. It is a very sad scene.
