    The Washington Capitals and Boston Bruins. Hextall was the first goalie to shoot the puck directly into the net. His first was against Boston in 1987, during the regular season. The second came against Washington in the 1989 playoffs.

    Evgeni Nabokov. Evgeni Nabokov of San Jose was the first goalie with a powerplay goal. It came against the Canucks, March 10th of the 2002 season.

What else did Jose Theodore accomplish on the night he scored?
    A win and a shutout. Along with his goal, Jose also won the game 3-0 against the Islanders, January 2nd 2001.
