    The First Collier. "The First Collier" is the ninth book in this series. This book is the first in the "Legends" series.

Where was Hoole born?
    Northern Kingdoms. He born in the Northern Kingdoms in the Glauxian Brothers Retreat.

Who is Soren's nephew? This can be found out in the seventh book of the series, "The Hatchling"
    Coryn. Coryn is Soren's nephew. He was born into the Pure Ones, but decided to leave them.

Who is the first collier? This is in the book "The First Collier".
    Grank. Grank is the first collier. He was the one who trained Hoole to be King.

Coryn is the new king. This is in the eighth book "The Outcast".
    t. He had fire sight and retrieved the Ember of Hoole.

Who was the original Ga'Hoology ryb? This is in the fourth book, "The Seige".
    Dewlap. Dewlap was the original ryb but betrayed the Great Tree during The Siege.

Who is Soren's nest maid snake? Can be found in the first book, "The Capture".
    Ms. Plithiver. She used to be Soren's family's nest maid snake. At the Great Ga'Hoole tree she got to be in the harp guild.

In the end of the books they have a list of characters, their owl type, and scientific name. What is the scientific name for the Great Horned Owl?
    Bubo Virginianus. It is Bubo Virginianus. If you look at Bubo's name you can see the species and the scientific name Bubo Virginianus.
