You've entered Kashmir, and are now in its capital during the summer. What is this capital?

    Srinagar. Jammu is the capital during the winter. The rest are cities in Srinagar.

You see some boats, long and comfortable, with cushions decorating the seats, as well as streamers. They are all clustered around this beautiful lake. What is the lake's name?
    Dal Lake.. The 'boats' are known as shikaras. They are very popular.

This place is known for its gondolas. Where are you?
    Gulmarg.. Gulmarg is known for its rampant bluebonnets. What attracts most tourists are its gondolas and horse-riding trails.

You pass by what seems to be a palace. Who once lived here?
    The mahraja.. Now it's more of a military outpost/resort/museum. If you look hard, you can still see the beauty it once held.

There seems to be a commotion on the road. A car is heavily decorated. What is the reason for all this?
    Someone has been married.. Wedding ceremonies can go on for DAYS in Kashmir. The best part is, if you're from the bride's side, you steal the groom's shoes and hold it for ransom. That's my favourite part.

You see a green mountain with a TV tower on its summit. Its original name was changed. What was it?
    Tahk-ti Sulaiman. The named was changed by the Indian soldiers who are currently (as of December 2005) occupying Kashmir. They have dubbed it with a Hindi name, but everyone still calls it Tahk-ti Sulaiman.

You see a large amusement park, built in 2004, that is attracting many people in the resort town whose name means 'palace town'. Where are you?
    Pahlgam. It's a really nice park, spacious and beautiful. I think the best ride is the Octupus one, then the bumper cars.

The name of this town makes you think of chickens. What is the name?
    Kokernag. In Kashmiri, chicken is 'koker'. Kokernag is known for its fisheries.

Which of these creatures is not unusual for you to see perambulating the streets of the cities Kashmir?
    Cows. In regard to the Hindu population, cows are not an unusual sight, as they are holy to Hindus.

You notice a well-known hospital in a town called Lal Chowk named after a famous poet. What is it called?
    Lal Ded Hospital. Lal Ded is also known as 'Mother Lalla' and 'Lalleshwari', to name a few. Some say she was Hindu, but quite a few think she was Muslim, due to the many poems she wrote about the oneness of God.
